TV star Cheryl Burke hits back at 'cruel' trolls

Cheryl Burke hates when people make "assumptions" about her appearance. The 41-year-old TV star has slammed social media trolls, admitting that she feels hurt by the comments of "cruel" body-shamers. Cheryl - who was married to actor Matthew Lawrence between 2019 and 2022 - said on TikTok: "Let's address the elephant in the comments section. I am not on Ozempic. I am not sick. I didn't get a face transplant and I didn't get a brow lift. "The level of projection that is happening and that I am witnessing is wild. "But here is the most disappointing part that really gets me. [Some of you are writing], 'We miss the 'old Cheryl' from Suite Life of Zack and Cody back in 2006 or 'Dancing With the Stars' season 2 when I was 21 or the three years ago Cheryl where I was going through a divorce.'" Cheryl rubbished the "accusations" surrounding her changing appearance. The dancer feels particularly hurt when she sees women attacking other women on social media. She said: "The assumptions are exhausting as hell. "The accusations are completely cruel and the fact that so many of them are actually coming from women is what is so shocking and hurtful." Cheryl also insisted that fans have nothing to worry about. She explained: "I have been in the public eye since I was 20 years old. My body has changed over the past 20 years. My face has changed because I have changed. "I have experienced so much trauma, divorce, sobriety, burn out and reinvention. This is by no means a pity party. I have healed, I have lost and I have grieved like anybody else. Maybe it shows but I am not sorry for it. Not one bit." Cheryl actually admitted she doesn't "feel safe" with how she's talked about on social media. The TV star said: "What has been so challenging is this pressure to prove that I haven't done something and to convince other people that my healing is valid. "I am quieter, I have boundaries and more discernment. Frankly, I don't feel safe the way I used to on social media."

DWTS Pro Clears Up Rumors She's Taking Ozempic

Cheryl Burke is setting the record straight and calling out the body-shamers who have been relentlessly speculating about her appearance. In a TikTok video shared on Sunday, May 18, the Dancing With the Stars pro responded to the rumors circulating about her health and looks. 'Let's address the elephant in the comments section,' Burke, 41, started off her 'Get Unready With Me' video on the app. 'I am not on Ozempic. I am not sick. I didn't get a face transplant, and I didn't get a brow lift.' She expressed her frustration with the level of projection happening online, calling it 'wild' and reminding people that she is a human being, not an object for discussion. Burke also took aim at those who had compared her current appearance to earlier versions of herself, saying that some people are writing comments like, 'We miss the 'old Cheryl' from Suite Life of Zack and Cody' or 'Dancing With the Stars season 2." She made it clear that that version of her no longer exists, emphasizing how exhausting and cruel the assumptions about her are, especially coming from other women. 'The accusations are completely cruel and the fact that so many of them are actually coming from women is what is so shocking and hurtful.' Burke opened up about the personal struggles she's faced, including divorce, trauma, and sobriety. 'I have experienced so much trauma, divorce, sobriety, burn out and reinvention. This is by no means a pity party. I have healed, I have lost and I have grieved like anybody else. Maybe it shows,' she admitted. Despite the challenges, she added, 'I am not sorry for it. Not one bit.' In a final message, Burke stated that she was no longer willing to tolerate speculation. 'If you are here to speculate, compare to demand answers that you are not entitled to, then you are not welcome in this space that I have created.' she concluded. She continued in her caption, writing, 'I'm not on Ozempic. I'm not sick. I didn't get 'a new face. Stop dissecting women's bodies like they belong to you. This is YOUR reminder: I don't owe you an explanation for my healing or for anything quite frankly. Let this be the last time I have to say it.' It's safe to say fans had her back in the comments section. 'If people are talking it means you're doing something right and they're just jealous! Keep shining,' one fan encouraged. Another theorized, 'I think people feel like they 'know' you and so to see you look different feels like a stranger.' A third said, 'Thank you for speaking up to advocate for yourself. The public can be so mean.' If one thing is for sure, Burke's journey is hers alone, and it looks like she has a bunch of people in her corner.

Ashley Tisdale hit with 'wild karma' as her daughter becomes obsessed with High School Musical

Ashley Tisdale is experiencing a "wild karma" with her daughter's new obsession. The 39-year-old actress went viral recently when she revealed that her niece had played Sharpay Evans in her local production of 'High School Musical' almost exactly 20 years after she herself originated the role in the Disney Channel film, and while her daughter Jupiter, four, "wasn't bothered" about it before, she has now become infatuated with the 2000s trilogy. Speaking in a video posted to Instagram, she said: "So, Jupiter saw my niece in 'High School Musical' the play last weekend. When she's seen 'High School Musical' in the past, she never really cared about it bit I think seeing my niece in the play play me has just changed her, so she had to watch all three movies. "She will not stop listening to the music, it's playing in the house right now. When I'm on walks with her, she asks me to play it. "When I'm in the car, she asks me to play it. Specifically, 'High School Musical 2'. Her favourite song is 'Humuhumunukunukuapua'a' . I hate that song! I don't know what kind of karma this is but this is wild, I'm having to listen to it over and over and over." The former 'Suite Life of Zack and Cody' star - who has been married to Christopher French since 2014 and also has seven-month-old Emerson with him - is often "so embarrassed" when she takes her eldest out in public now because she insists on reminding everyone around them who her mom is. She said: "Also, she screams screams out in public 'I'm Sharpay's baby!' I really can't! I mean, I just feel so embarrassed when I'm walking into a store and she [sings] 'We're All In This Together'. It's really sweet, but after a whole week of listening to the music straight, it's like...I don't need to watch this again. We don't need to listen to this anymore. "I always have to tell her not to sing it next to me because someone's gonna be like 'Oh my God, I saw Ashley strolling her child and she was listening to her own music from 'High School Musical...'"

Brenda Song can understand why some couples 'break up' soon after they have children

Brenda Song can understand why some couples "break up" when they have children. The 37-year-old actress has been in a relationship with 'Home Alone' star Macaulay Culkin, 44, and has Dakota, four, as well as two-year-old Carson with him, but insisted that "high-stress situations" in the early days of parenthood can sometimes lead to a split. She told E! News: "No matter how well you know your partner, when you have kids, it's another phase of your relationship, because you are dealing with situations that you've never dealt with. "You're raising little humans together. It comes down to this really ground level of who you guys are and if you connect. "[I understand] why people break up when they have young children, they go through issues, because it's a high-stress situation." However, the former 'Suite Life of Zack and Cody' star feels extremely "fortunate" that she and Macaulay faced their difficulties head-on when they became parents and actually feels that they have become "stronger" as a couple since working through it all She said: "I am so, so fortunate that when we had kids, instead of us going through these trials and tribulations, yes, we did, but it strengthened us, because we realised, 'Oh, I really am so lucky to have someone who understands me on such a different kind of level." When asked about the kind of things that Macaulay does for her, the 'Last Showgirl' actress admitted that he actually does a host of things, but knows that their relationship as parents is "special" because of that. She said: "Waking up, making oatmeal at six a.m, and just things that I don't even realize that are on the checklist, he'll just pick up without me realizing it. And it's really special because I know it's not always that way. "It's really hard so I feel really lucky that I found someone that just gets me on a different kind of level. "He does the morning shift [when I'm filming], "Kids' lunches are packed, their backpacks are ready so I can get the kids ready. It's about dividing and conquering."
