Comedians Paul Merton and Suki Webster bringing improv show to Dorset
Two top comedians will perform an unscripted comedy show in Dorset later this year. The Lighthouse has announced the hilarious Paul Merton and Suki Webster will perform at the Poole theatre on Friday, October 17. Fresh from successful runs in London and Edinburgh, the duo promises an evening of spontaneous comedy, featuring improvised games, scenes and stories. They will be joined by Mike McShane, another respected figure in the comedy world, and other guest performers. COMEDY duo Paul Merton and Suki Webster are set to perform an improv show. They will be joined by Mike McShane and other guests at Lighthouse, Poole's centre for the arts, on Friday, October 17. The show will feature unscripted comedy, including improvised games, stories and scenes. Paul Merton is a regular on BBC Radio 4's Just A Minute and has appeared on TV shows such as Have I Got News For You and Room 101. She has also starred in a West End run of One Word Improv with Eddie Izzard. Mike McShane has appeared at the Menier Chocolate Factory in Little Shop of Horrors and Stephen Sondheim's Assassins, as well as Broadway with their production of La Cage Aux Folles. TV includes Doctor Who, Bluestone 42 (BBC), Seinfeld, Frasier, NCIS LA (CBS) and Wayward Pines (FOX). Currently he can be seen in the webisode western, Red Bird, for which he was nominated for an Emmy.
