Sultan's Special Force marks annual day
Muscat– The Sultan's Special Force (SSF) celebrated its annual day on March 15, alongside the graduation of a new batch of soldiers, under the patronage of H E Gen Sultan Mohammed al Nu'amani, Minister of Royal Office.
The ceremony, featured a military parade, with the Royal Guard of Oman band playing the Royal Anthem as the graduates saluted the patron of the event. His Excellency inspected the parade and witnessed a slow-march display before presenting awards to the top graduates. The ceremony concluded with the graduates taking the oath of loyalty and chanting in honour of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
In recognition of dedicated service, His Excellency awarded the Excellent Service Medal and the Sultan's Commendation Medal to several senior officers, officers, and non-commissioned officers. Additionally, Major General Muslim bin Mohammed Jaboub, SSF Commander, presented the Special Service Medal and the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal to a number of SSF personnel.
The event was attended by senior government officials, military and security commanders, and retired officers, highlighting the vital role of the Sultan's Special Force in safeguarding the nation.
