Awqaf ministry opens new mosque in Al Khor
The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, represented by the Mosques Department, inaugurated the Sultan bin Ali Al Ali Al Maadheed Mosque in Al Khor City, as part of its ongoing efforts to expand and develop mosques across the country. The opening of the new mosque is in line with population and urban growth and the aspirations of Qatar National Vision 2030.
The ministry said the new mosque covers an area of 5,676 square metres and includes a main prayer hall that can accommodate approximately 950 worshippers, in addition to a hall designated for women that can accommodate 100 female worshippers. It also includes a spacious ablution area, a large number of parking spaces, including designated spaces for people with disabilities, in addition to carefully organised entrances and exits, and a towering minaret that distinguishes the building.
