State Council committee debates telecom bill
MUSCAT: The State Council's Legal Committee on Monday discussed the report of the Technology and Innovation Committee on the Telecommunications and Information Technology Regulatory Bill referred by the Council of Ministers. The Legal Committee held its fifteenth meeting of the second regular session of the eighth term under the chairmanship of Shaikh Sultan bin Matar al Azizi, Chairman of the Legal Committee, in the presence of the honourable members of the committee and a number of employees of the Secretariat- General. It reviewed the observations and views of the members of the Technology and Innovation Committee on the provisions of the draft law which aims to keep pace with local and global changes in the telecommunications and information technology sector.

Oman: State Council panel debates draft laws on combating human trafficking and real estate regulation
Muscat: The State Council's Legal Committee on Monday held its 13th meeting of the second regular session of the 8th term under the chairman Shaikh Sultan bin Matar al Azizi, Chairman of the committee in the presence of the members of the Committee and a number of employees of the State Council's Secretariat-General. The committee discussed the draft law on Combating Human Trafficking which aims to keep pace with the developments in combating human trafficking as well as providing more guarantees to protect victims of human trafficking and facilitating the work of the relevant authorities in enforcing the law in cases related to human trafficking. State Council panel debates Anti-Human Trafficking bill
Muscat: The State Council's Legal Committee discussed the Anti-Human Trafficking bill which was referred to it by the Council of Ministers at its eleventh meeting of the second regular session of the eighth term held on Monday . During its meeting, chaired by Shaikh Sultan bin Matar al Azizi, Chairman of the Legal Committee, and attended by the honourable members of the committee and a number of employees of the Secretariat-General, the Committee reviewed the report of Majlis Ash'shura on the draft law which the Sultanate of Oman's efforts to underpin human rights and consolidate the values of justice. The Anti-Human Trafficking bill aims to keep pace with practical developments, as well as adapt to regional and international experiences in the field of combating human rights violations.
