Jurassic World Rebirth first audience review: Sci-fi action film amuses dinophiles; Internet quips, ‘Surprisingly funny'
Jurassic World Rebirth is making waves online as sci-fi action adventure film hit the silver screen in India on July 4. Gareth Edwards directorial movie first released in theatres across US and overseas on July 2, on the occasion of 250th US Independence Day. A standalone sequel to Jurassic World Dominion (2022), the movie was made on a budget of ₹ 1,550 crore ($180 million). Eying over $250 million global opening over the five-day weekend, this Hollywood movie is the fourth Jurassic World film and the seventh instalment overall in the Jurassic Park franchise. As per Deadline prediction, the film might earn around $120 and $130 million in the US during its first five days. Mixed reactions poured online on Jurassic World Rebirth review, a user remarked, 'When I watched Rebirth today a kid behind me (that was silent and well behaved the entire time) screamed 'Spinosaurus!' Because he was so excited to see them on the big screen.' Another user commented, 'One thing I do like a lot is that (for the most part) the dinos/creatures actually act more like animals. In contrast to the blood thirsty killing machines of the other Jurassic World films.' A third user stated, 'I was expecting to be disappointed with Jurassic World Rebirth but it was great. Better than all the other Jurassic World's.' A fourth user wrote, 'Jurassic World did the far better job at tying its ideas together. Jurassic World: Rebirth didn't bother to do that." After delivering a strong overseas start on Wednesday, the sci-fi action adventure film collected an estimated ₹ 10 lakh in India on July 4 until 9:45 AM, Sacnilk reported. Jurassic World Rebirth raked in $26 million on its opening day, July 2, from 38 international box office markets, Deadline reported. In the US, it dead a business of $30.5 million on Wednesday, taking the Day 1 global to $56.5 million. Featuring an ensemble cast, including Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Ed Skrein and Luna Blaise, the movie is produced under the banners 'The Kennedy/Marshall Company' and 'Amblin Entertainment,' and is distributed by Universal Pictures.

Thug Life Box Office Collection Day 1: Kamal Haasan starrer, released on June 5, is making waves at the Tamil box office. On Thursday — opening day — Tamil screenings dominated its earning. Produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Madras Talkies, the movie amassed ₹ 17 crore net in India on Day 1, according to film industry Sacnilk. Out of the total domestic box office earnings, ₹ 15.4 crore net came from Tamil shows, followed by ₹ 1.5 crore net from Telugu screenings and ₹ 10 lakh net - the least from Hindi shows. Screening in over 2,220 theatres overseas, the movie was finally released on June 5 worldwide after days of controversy. Moving to occupancy, the movie recorded an overall 52.06 percent Tamil Occupancy on Thursday and an overall 5.79% Hindi Occupancy for 2D version. Meanwhile, an overall occupancy rate of 34.63% was registered in Tamil for the IMAX 2D version. Film trade analyst Sumit Kadel gave Mani Ratnam directorial movie 'Thug Life' two-star rating and called the Gangster Film 'A HUGE LET DOWN.' In a post on X, he stated, The movie starts off with a bit of promise and some interesting moments, but it quickly loses steam and becomes dull. The first half is just about watchable because of the setup and a few engaging scenes. But after that, it completely falls apart…..The only good things here are a few moments in the first half, the high-quality production, and the beautiful visuals." He suggested that the Kollywood movie will perform well 'its main market - Tamil Nadu' but 'will be a Disaster in Hindi.' Alongside Kamal Haasan, the star cast features Trisha Krishnan, T.R. Silambarasan, Abhirami, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Ashok Selvan, Joju George, Nassar, Ali Fazal, and Mahesh Manjrekar in pivotal roles.

Bhool Chuk Maaf Twitter review: Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi-starrer Bhool Chuk Maaf has been released in theatres today, May 23. The film's road to release, however, was anything but smooth – marked by a series of last-minute hurdles and uncertainties. The movie was originally scheduled to release in theatres on May 10, but was postponed due to India and Pakistan conflict. The makers of Bhool Chuk Maaf, Maddock Films, were involved in a legal tussle with PVRINOX for backing the legal agreement to release the movie at the last moment. Due to the Indo-Pak tension after Operation Sindoor, Maddock Films announced that the movie is going to stream on OTT platforms directly. Resultantly, PVRINOX dragged them to the court and filed a lawsuit for breach of contract. The court ordered the release of the movie in theatres as agreed between the two parties earlier.
