Hours after a video showing two young men speeding and performing stunts in a Toyota Fortuner near Amity University in Noida went viral, they were arrested and the car was seized, police said on Wednesday. According to the police, the two men were performing dangerous stunts in the SUV, bearing an Uttar Pradesh registration number, near Gate Number 1 of the university in Noida Sector 125. A video of the incident went viral on Tuesday. 'We learnt that the public was facing inconvenience in commuting,' said Sumit Shukla, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Noida. Shukla said the stunts had also led to traffic congestion in the area, after which the two men were identified and taken into police custody. A case was registered by the Noida Police on Tuesday against a person after a video of him deliberately trying to hit another person with his SUV went viral on social media. Police said that the incident took place in Sector 53 on Monday. A 28-second video clip went viral on social media platforms on Tuesday. The video shows a man with multiple injuries walking on a road carrying a brick in his hand. At the same time, a black Thar came from behind and hit him. The impact of the collision was such that the man was flung into the roadside drain. HT, however, could not independently verify the authenticity of the video. 'On Tuesday, a video went viral on social media. Taking cognisance of the video, we have registered a case against the SUV driver at Sector 24 police station and formed three teams to nab the suspect,' said Noida additional deputy commissioner of police (ADCP), Sumit Shukla. "Under Noida police's Good Evening Programme, a meeting was held with deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Yamuna Prasad, additional deputy commissioner (ADCP) Sumit Shukla, assistant deputy commissioner (ACP) Ajit Singh, acp Vivek Ranjan Rai, and chowki in-charge Rahul Kumar. This was in the presence of FONRWA president Yogendra Sharma and general secretary KK Jain at Sector 11 community centre over the deteriorating law and order situation in Sector 11," said Anuj Gupta, RWA president of Sector 11. Dinesh Krishnan, RWA general secretary of Sector 11, informed police officials that due to inadequate patrolling, incidents of vehicle thefts at night, mobile phone snatchings during daylight, and increasing thefts have occurred in the sector. Gupta added that anti-social elements and drifters consume drugs and misbehave with passers-by at several locations. Noida: The Noida police have registered a case of forgery and an act to insult the modesty of a woman against an unidentified suspect after a woman was sent morphed private photos on May 19, officials said on Thursday. A first information report (FIR) was registered based on the complaint filed by the legal counsel of a news channel, where the woman works as a TV broadcaster. 'One of our anchors received an email on May 19 from the email address at around 2.42 pm. Immediately thereafter, she received two more emails at 3.04 pm and 3.12 pm,' the FIR, a copy of which was seen by HT, stated. 'The said emails are disturbing in their content and are found to have been issued by the sender by manipulating the image of our anchor and superimposing her face on nude and sexually explicit poses of another person,' it added. 'We have registered a case under sections for forgery and word, gesture, or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and 66, 67, and 67a of the IT Act were registered at Sector 20 police station. Our cyber team is investigating the case to trace the suspect,' said Noida additional DCP Sumit Shukla.
