Henderson County Schools names new Chief Financial Officer
HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Henderson County Schools has a new Chief Financial Officer. School officials have announced they have hired David Stokes to the position. Stokes will take over for Director of Finance Cindy Cloutier, who is retiring after a 37-year career with the district. Summer Sunset Series kicks off in Henderson Officials state Stokes brings a wealth of experience and leadership, serving 20 years as CFO for the McLean County Public School System and six years in private accounting. Officials also state Stokes is a director and past president of the Kentucky Association of School Business Officials and currently serves as the President-Elect of the Southeastern Association of School Business Officials. He has also served as a Kentucky Department of Education Finance Office Mentor. 'We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Stokes to Henderson County Schools,' notes Superintendent Dr. Bob Lawson. 'His extensive experience, leadership, and commitment to school finance excellence will be a tremendous asset to our district. At the same time, we are incredibly grateful for Ms. Cloutier's outstanding leadership throughout the years and the profound impact she has had on our district. Her dedication has ensured Henderson County Schools is financially sound and well-positioned for the future.' Summer Sunset Series kicks off in Henderson
HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- The Summer Sunset Series begins tonight, bringing energy to downtown Henderson. The event will feature live music, artisan and farmer market vendors, as well as celebrate local artists in Henderson's Sunset District. Junior Achievement of Evansville unveils plans for Discovery Center The series will take place on select Thursdays throughout the summer from 4 to 8 p.m. Each month, attendees will be able to enjoy an evening filled with entertainment, shopping, and a highlight of what downtown Henderson has to offer.
