Light aircraft crashes into ocean off Durban's Suncoast Beach
A light aircraft crashed into the ocean off Suncoast Beach near central Durban on Thursday afternoon, ALS paramedics said.
In video footage circulating on social media, smoke is seen emanating from the aircraft as it visibly loses power before plunging into the water.
ALS Paramedics said it was on the scene, along with the SA Police Service, metro police search-and-rescue teams, and the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI).
