Jon Stewart Says DOGE Rooted Out ‘One of America's Least Efficient Government Workers' – Elon Musk
Jon Stewart opened his Monday night monologue by celebrating the Department of Government Efficiency for doing its job. 'DOGE has finally rooted out one of America's least efficient government workers and marked him for dismissal,' Stewart said, referring to Elon Musk. The Telsa and X boss announced he would be moving on from the White House last week. 'He's leaving his job to make more family with his time,' the comedian quipped. But despite the applause from his studio audience, Stewart confessed that he's 'starting to feel bad for the guy.' 'He's only been there four months,' Stewart said. 'He went from tech titan given a mandate to move fast and crush the deep state to guy who had a bad night at a Nashville bar he can't remember.' To further emphasize his point, Stewart noted that Musk looked 'beaten down.' 'He has this look on his face that I imagine his employees usually have. Black eye, thousand-yard stare. This dude has seen some s–t,' he joked. 'Elon spent $300 million of his own money to get Trump elected, irreparably damaged his personal brand and almost all of his businesses and is clearly suffering some kind of issue.' Most of Stewart's monologue chronicled how Musk has changed over the past four months working in Trump's White Hose, from reports that his ketamine usage caused him to pee himself to his recent 'CBS News Sunday Mornings' interview during which he meekly asked to only talk about space. Ultimately, Stewart pointed to Musk's decline as a lesson for all of Trump's allies. 'You will go from reaching for mind stars to dissolving in a puddle of your own urine and shame and starting a fight club with your kid just to be able to feel. Audra McDonald fires back at Patti LuPone's claim she's ‘not a friend' after Broadway rift
Audra McDonald is setting the record straight on where she stands with Patti LuPone. On Monday, the Broadway legend, 76, told The New Yorker that McDonald, 54, is 'not a friend.' When asked to comment on McDonald's current role as Rose in 'Gypsy,' LuPone allegedly sat in silence before turning to the window, letting out a sigh and exclaiming, 'What a beautiful day.' The 'Private Practice' alum is nominated for a Tony this year for her role as Mama Rose in 'Gypsy.' 'I was his girlfriend when he wanted me to be his girlfriend, but if there was somebody else he would break up with me and go out with that person. ‘Concerned' Charles Barkley might reach out to Bill Belichick after CBS interview debacle with Jordon Hudson
It appears those in Bill Belichick's orbit are growing worried about the Super Bowl-winning coach in the aftermath of his awkward CBS interview and his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson's role in it. Charles Barkley, the Basketball Hall of Famer and 'Inside the NBA' star, said on 'The Dan Patrick Show' on Wednesday that he's 'concerned' about the 73-year-old Belichick, whom Barkley says he's been friends with since Belichick coached the Browns in the early '90s. 'Well, this is a very slippery subject for me because Bill's one of my really good friends. I'm not sure what's going on. He's been a great friend for me for a long time,' Barkley said. 'I think he's gotta be very careful right now. This is starting to be on a very slippery slope. He's the greatest football coach ever, him and Nick Saban — for college, Nick Saban; for Bill, the NFL. CBS Advertisement Barkley, 62, says he doesn't like to discuss people's personal relationships, though the normally private Belichick's relationship with Hudson has been very out in the open with public appearances and social media updates. 'I will admit I'm a little concerned with some of the stuff that's going on, and I might actually reach out to him to make sure everything's good,' Barkley said. 'But I am concerned from what I'm hearing. It's not a good look right now, I'll admit that.' Belichick lashed out at CBS in a statement released Wednesday, claiming the network 'selectively edited' the interview and did not live up to agreement to focus only on what's in his new book. CBS fired back later Wednesday, saying there was no such agreement.
