File Pic: LA Knight Riders players The Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR) were introduced in 2023 as one of the six founding franchises of Major League Cricket (MLC) — the USA's premier T20 league. Owned by the Knight Riders Group, which also owns the Kolkata Knight Riders (IPL) and Trinbago Knight Riders (CPL), LAKR bring the same high-octane, entertainer's flair to the American cricketing landscape. Despite their star-studded ownership and big-name signings, LAKR's on-field journey so far has been one of promise yet to be fulfilled. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! Led by Sunil Narine , the team boasts a power-packed core including Andre Russell , Alex Hales, Anrich Nortje and Rovman Powell — players known for match-winning capabilities. What LAKR now need is cohesion, rhythm and consistency. With MLC 2025 running from June 12 to July 13, featuring 34 matches across six competitive teams, the Knight Riders have a perfect opportunity to turn the tide. The franchise hopes to replicate the success and spirit of its global counterparts while adding its own Hollywood-Bollywood twist to the American cricket scene. Team Performance in 2023 In their inaugural 2023 season, LAKR struggled to find form, finishing last in the standings with just one win — a tough start for a team with such pedigree. Team Performance in 2024 The 2024 campaign showed marginal improvement. LAKR managed two victories but still ended up fifth, once again missing out on the playoffs and searching for momentum. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like เทรดทองCFDsกับโบรกเกอร์ที่เชื่อถือได้| เปิดบัญชีวันนี้ IC Markets สมัคร Undo Standout Performers Batting: Andre Russell leads the run charts for the Los Angeles Knight Riders with 335 runs in 11 matches at an impressive average of 41.87 and a strike rate of 158. Klaasen's 105* the highlight as SRH finish IPL 2025 in style
Heinrich Klaasen's batting heroics were the centrepiece of Sunrisers Hyderabad's (SRH) innings in Delhi, as his unbeaten 39-ball 105 set up a comfortable 110-run win against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League on Sunday. His breathtaking century - the joint-third fastest in IPL history - came off just 37 balls and left KKR chasing an improbable 279 to win, reports KKR's fall was swift, barring a few big hits from Sunil Narine, Manish Pandey and Harshit Rana. SRH stifled them with Jaydev Unadkat's change-ups earning him 3 for 24, left-arm spinner Harsh Dubey grabbing 3 for 34 and Eshan Malinga finishing with 3 for 31. In the other clash of the day, Chennai Super Kings beat Gujarat Titans by 83 runs. Scores: SRH 278 for 3 (Klaasen 105*, Head 76, Narine 2-42) beat KKR 168 (Pandey 37, Unadkat 3-24); CSK 230 for 5 (Brevis 57, Conway 52, Prasidh 2-22) beat Gujarat Titans 147 (Sai Sudharsan 41, Kamboj 3-13, Noor 3-21).

Sunil Narine creates history, becomes highest wicket-taker for a single team in men's T20 cricket
New Delhi [India], May 25 (ANI): Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) veteran spinner Sunil Narine has etched his name into the history books by becoming the highest wicket-taker for a single team in men's T20 cricket. The West Indian all-rounder achieved the milestone during KKR's clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Sunday in Delhi, where he picked up two crucial wickets. With this performance, Narine now has 210 wickets from 198 matches for Kolkata Knight Riders, surpassing England's Samit Patel, who had previously held the record with 208 wickets for Nottinghamshire. The top five on the list now include Narine (210 for KKR), Patel (208 for Nottinghamshire), Chris Wood (199 for Hampshire), Lasith Malinga (195 for Mumbai Indians), and David Payne (193 for Gloucestershire). Narine, who has been with KKR since 2012, has been a cornerstone of the franchise's success over the years, known for his mystery spin, economy rate, and ability to deliver in crunch moments. With this latest feat, he further cements his legacy as one of the greatest bowlers in the T20 format. A hundred from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batter Heinrich Klaasen and a fifty from Travis Head powered SRH to 278/3 in 20 overs against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 68th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Sunday. This is the third-highest total by any team in IPL history. Klaasen also registered the fastest hundred of the ongoing IPL in 37 balls. Sunil Narine removed Abhishek Sharma for 32 (16) and Travis Head for 76(40). Narine finished with figures of 2/42 in his four overs. KKR need 279 runs to win. (ANI)
