'Nautapa' is a period of 9 days when the heat of the sun is felt the most and the temperature can break records at many places. According to the Hindu calendar, this year 'Nautapa' beginning on May 25, will continue till June 8. Although the heat is intense for the entire 15 days, the first 9 days are particularly scorching. During 'Nautapa', the sun god comes very close to the earth, due to which the rays of the sun have a direct and intense effect on the earth. When the sun is in the Rohini constellation, it affects the heat. According to astrology, Rohini Nakshatra belongs to Lord Venus, who is considered as the enemy constellation of the sun. This is the reason that when the sun and Venus come together, there is more heat. The weather experts and doctors have advised to avoid heat, keep the body hydrated, wear light clothing, avoid sun exposure, and stay in a cool environment. The people have been advised to avoid coming in the open sky in the noon, remain indoors, sprinkle cold water or take a bath to keep the body cold and take all preventive steps to avoid summer diseases. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Keep Your Home Efficient with This Plug-In elecTrick - Save upto 80% on Power Bill Learn More Undo Though 'Nautapa' is five days ahead, the heat is baffling the citizens.
