Sunnybrook Hope Center to receive $12K donation

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Sunnybrook Hope Center will receive more than $12,000 from a local philanthropy group. The group meets quarterly to select a Siouxland non-profit organization. According to a press release from Dave Madsen, the group has donated more than $420,000 to Siouxland non-profits. SIOUX CITY, IA (KCAU) — Sioux City's Sunnybrook Hope Center is the recipient of a record breaking donation of more than $19,000 from Subaru of America, which will help provide meals for local families. This marks the fifth year in a row the center has been selected by Jensen Subaru for the 'Share the Love' program. As part of the program, car buyers are given the opportunity to dedicate a donation that helps provide more than 90,000 meals to local families. Dogs found in red-tagged Sioux City home; Teenagers may face charges for fake dog rescue Tina Stroud, the executive director with the Sunnybrook Hope Center told KCAU 9 that the event goes a long way in helping alleviate food insecurity in Siouxland. 'The impact of this will just be a ripple effect, providing almost 95,000 meals to locals Siouxlanders who are really struggling with a source at the grocery store,' Stroud said.
