A popular Australian artist died after giving birth this week, leaving an 'an unimaginable void in the hearts of everyone who knew her.' Tattoo artist Stacey Nightingale, from Montville on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, has been remembered as a 'devoted mother … and a fiercely loving friend' after her shock death on Wednesday. In a post to her 13,000 Instagram followers on Thursday, Ms. Nightingale's family announced her tragic death, sparking an outpouring of grief. 'It is with heartbreaking sadness I announce Stacey passed away on Wednesday the 7th of May,' the post read. 'Stacey was a unique beautiful beacon of light in this world who left such an impact on everyone she met.' 'She passed shortly after birthing her third child. She fought hard to stay with us but eventually transitioned to death.' Stacey Nightingale, a popular tattoo artist in Australia, has died after giving birth to her third child. 'We will honor Stacey in every way we can and always keep her spirit close.' Ms. Nightingale had chronicled her latest pregnancy on social media and in her last post, published on April 19, wrote that it had 'been such a blessing.' 'A blessing I didn't know I needed. A blessing dressed up in challenge. A blessing I'm learning so much from,' she said. A post was made on her Instagram account by her family announcing the death of Nightingale to her 13,000 followers. A fundraiser set up by friend Kellee Hollywood had already gained more than $12,000 in donations on Friday night. 'Stacey brought light wherever she went. Her laughter, strength, and deep wisdom touched the lives of many,' Ms. Hollywood said. 'She walked this earth with purpose and grace, and her love continues to echo through her beautiful children and all those she held close. She said the fundraiser was 'dedicated to supporting Chris and her beautiful children in the wake of this profound loss.' A spokesperson for the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health offered 'sincerest condolences' to Ms. Nightingale's family, the Courier Mail reports. 'Sunshine Coast Health protects the privacy and confidentiality of patients and won't provide further information on individual circumstances of care,' they said.

A popular Australian artist has died shortly after the delivery of her third child this week. Stacey Nightingale, from Queensland 's Sunshine Coast, is being remembered as a 'beautiful beacon of light' and someone who left an impact on everyone she met. She died on Wednesday, her family said in a statement issued through her social media channels. 'She passed shortly after birthing her third child. She fought hard to stay with us but eventually transitioned to death,' loved ones said. 'Words cannot describe this loss for anyone that knew her, especially her family, fiancé and three children. 'We will honour Stacey in every way we can and always keep her spirit close.' Her partner Chris Yantra issued a statement on Friday night saying he was 'honoured' to have spent 13 years by the side of the artist, who is well known for her tattoo work. 'I fell in love with you the day we met. You showed me your paintings and I could feel your soul speaking through them like nothing I had ever felt before and I knew you would be known for your art,' he said. 'A few years later you began your tattoo career and made so many beautiful markings on people they can cherish forever.' Yantra said their children 'will miss you so much'. 'Always striving to be better, you once asked me if you were a good mum. I remember telling you how you show them magic everyday in all the little moments and they love you so much,' Yantra, himself a tattoo artist, said. 'And that's what everyone loved about you. You saw the world in your own way and I adored you for that. You truly radiated beauty.' Friend Kellee Hollywood said Nightingale's death 'has left an unimaginable void in the hearts of everyone who knew her'. 'Stacey brought light wherever she went. Her laughter, strength, and deep wisdom touched the lives of many,' Hollywood said in a fundraiser set up to support the artist's family. 'She walked this earth with purpose and grace, and her love continues to echo through her beautiful children and all those she held close.' In April, Nightingale had shared how she was excited for the arrival of her baby. 'Just waitin' on a mate. I'm noticing I'm starting to become impatient as my little one gives me dream after dream every night about him,' she said. Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health offered its 'sincerest condolences' to Nightingale's family, telling the Courier Mail it 'protects the privacy and confidentiality of patients and won't provide further information on individual circumstances of care'.
