The reason Bill Belichick says Jordon Hudson was copied on all North Carolina football emails

It's clear that Bill Belichick wants to put an end to all of the drama concerning girlfriend Jordon Hudson. During an appearance on NFL analyst Ryan Clark's 'The Pivot' podcast Friday, Belichick, 73, further clarified what exactly Hudson's role is with North Carolina and gave the reason why she was copied on emails from the football program. Belichick said that since there was no one running the sports information department for the team, he requested Hudson, 24, to be copied on the emails. Advertisement 'It would be personal opportunities. It could be a speaking thing, it could be an appearance on this, or talk about this, or somebody wants whatever it happens to be an autograph, or that type of thing,' Belichick told Clark on the podcast. 'And so, she'd kind of help organize that for me. 'One of the first things that came out when North Carolina sent me emails saying, 'These people want to talk to you…' I sent back an email, 'Can you please copy Jordon on these requests?' so she could at least filter through them because there was nobody. Advertisement 'We didn't have a sports information guy. Because all emails are shared publicly, that was taken as Jordon's running the sports information department. And that also led to a narrative, which is just totally — she's not doing it. I mean, there was nobody to help me sort it out, so I was asking her to do it.' Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson on the red carpet before Super Bowl LIX NFL Honors at Saenger Theatre. USA TODAY Sports via Reuters Con During the podcast, Belichick also broke down the reasons behind why UNC decided to forego being this year's subject on 'Hard Knocks,' saying that it was simply not a 'good fit.' 'The 'Hard Knocks' thing, just for the record, 'Hard Knocks' is training camp. And we're not training camp,' Belichick said. 'That's not what we are, the drama of training camp, and who's going to get cut and all that. We're a season, and they don't want that. Advertisement 'There's film issues, too. But forget about the film issues. Just say you could straighten all those out. The Hard Knocks just didn't fit for us. That's the bottom line.' Bill Belichick claimed that UNC being featured on 'Hard Knocks' was not a 'good fit.' Belichick's comments come just days after he claimed that Hudson had nothing to do with UNC's football team during a brief interview on ESPN's 'SportsCenter.' 'That's really off to the side, it's a personal relationship. She doesn't have anything to do with UNC football,' Belichick said during the broadcast on Tuesday.

Pat McAfee questions ESPN's motives with Rich Eisen reunion after cryptic tweet on future

Pat McAfee said it 'feels very interesting' that ESPN will 'counter program' his daily simulcast with Rich Eisen's show later this year. During Tuesday's episode of 'The Pat McAfee Show,' the former All-Pro punter reacted to the news of ESPN and Eisen joining forces to bring 'The Rich Eisen Show' to Disney+ and ESPN+ for streaming beginning weekdays this fall from noon to 3 p.m. ET — the same time McAfee's talk show airs on the network's linear channel. 'Learned Rich Eisen's coming back to ESPN… I'm a big fan of Rich,' McAfee said before complimenting Eisen. 'Rich has been very nice to me, very cool to me. He's going live, noon to 3, I believe Eastern on ESPN+, Disney+. 3 Pat McAfee said it 'feels very interesting' that ESPN will 'counter program' his daily simulcast with Rich Eisen's show this fall. YouTube/Pat McAfee 'That feels very interesting. But also, love Rich Eisen, so I am cool with whatever… Noon-to-3 is fascinating, for sure. Is that a message? I don't know. But yeah, cool, whatever. But nonetheless, we're happy Rich is back.' 3 Rich Eisen on the red carpet before Super Bowl LIX NFL Honors at Saenger Theatre on February 6, 2025. Kirby Lee-Imagn Images It continued an interesting week for McAfee after he sent out a cryptic tweet about his personal future. 'Life's a book… each day being a page leading to the next.. phases of life come and go like chapters.. not every character/job/idea has to appear in every chapter. Some things are perfect for the story when it's needed.. and then disappear as just a fond memory,' wrote McAfee, who also is an announcer for WWE. 'A pivotal influence to get from one era to the next… Don't be scared to end a chapter and start anew.. you're gonna have to do it eventually anyways. And always remember to check with the mirror every once in a while and make sure your book is one that makes you happy.. and if it's not, change direction.. I think that you're allowed to do that.. we have NO IDEA when the final page is being written.. with no sequels. 'Tis our only chance at this thing here. I appreciate you all so much for everything. I'm living the dumbest book of all time.. trying to figure it all aht as I go..' McAfee is in the second year of a five-year, $85 million contract with ESPN. McAfee, who seemed confused about the exact details, praised Eisen for helping build ESPN during his nearly two-decade run at the company. He started laughing while emphasizing that both shows will be on at the same time. 'You've got choices right there,' a producer said. 'This one or this one.' 'I respect it,' McAfee replied. 'Just like the 'NFL Live' crew on free agency frenzy day. 'Hey, counter program us, it's all good. We like it. That's how we like it actually. Motherf–kers might learn, but we do like it, and we have responses as well.' McAfee went on to explain that he 'might have' had a hand in Eisen's show returning to ESPN. 'I might have been a part of even that entire thing potentially coming back,' he said. Eisen's show, which previously aired on The Roku Channel, will coincide with ESPN's new direct-to-consumer service named 'ESPN' that launches this fall. 3 Rich Eisen attends Wondery x The New Heights House Party Hosted by Jason & Travis Kelce on February 5, 2025 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Bill Belichick appeared at NYU panel without Jordon Hudson — and with an ex-NFL comms VP

Bill Belichick seems to be putting Jordon Hudson on the sidelines when it comes to managing his brand. At least in one instance. The six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach and first-year University of North Carolina football bench boss had former Bears vice president of communications Brandon Faber with him while he spoke at NYU's Stern School of Business, Page Six reported. Hudson, 24, was in New York and planned to attend, but she was not spotted at the event, according to the report. Pro Football Talk was first to report that Belichick had been in talks to have Faber come on to assist him. USA TODAY Sports via Reuters Con Radio host Zach Gelb posted on social media that his cousin was in attendance at the NYU-community-only event and that there was no sign of the former cheerleader, who is dating the 73-year-old football coach. Belichick did take questions, but they did need to be submitted, Gelb also wrote. The NYU event focused on Belichick discussing leadership and what makes a good team and the ex-Patriots coach stayed to sign copies of his book, 'The Art of Winning.' 3 Brandon Faber Brandon Faber/X Hudson's presence around Belichick has gained more attention in the days and weeks following the awkward interview he did with 'CBS Sunday Morning' in April, where Hudson was described as a 'constant presence' during the interview and stepped in to stop a question about how the couple met. Hudson seemingly acted as Belichick's manager — the football coach said he has a 'personal and professional relationship' with Hudson in a statement — and her influence over him had been a growing story. 3 Bill Belichick during his CBS interview. CBS 'Cooler heads may be starting to prevail,' a source told Page Six. 'Her influence may be waning.' All the drama has come before Belichick has even coached his first regular season football game at UNC. Belichick is taking over a college football program for the first time in his career after rising through the ranks in the NFL over nearly half a century.

Shedeur Sanders Makes Exciting Announcement on Thursday

One of the most intriguing storylines of the 2025 NFL draft was the dramatic fall of former Colorado Buffaloes star quarterback Shedeur Sanders. For much of the offseason, Sanders was projected as the No. 2 quarterback on the board and a potential top-five pick. Advertisement However, after a series of questionable pre-draft interviews, his decision not to participate in the NFL combine, and other contributing factors, he slid all the way to the fifth round. He was ultimately selected as the sixth quarterback off the board, going to the Cleveland Browns with the No. 144 overall pick. Now, as Sanders begins his journey with the Browns and arrives in Cleveland this week, he announced some exciting news on Thursday—his first official Panini Instant Rookie Card is set to be released, marking a new partnership with Panini America. Dawg Pound! Cleveland, are y'all ready? It's time to get to work… @Browns #NFLDraft Perfect Timing Check out my 1st Panini Instant Rookie card." Sanders enters a crowded and competitive quarterback room in Cleveland. The Browns also selected former Oregon Ducks standout Dillon Gabriel in the third round—one of the more surprising moves of the draft, considering Sanders was widely regarded as the more prominent prospect heading into the weekend. Advertisement Despite the crowded quarterback room, Sanders will have a prime opportunity to earn his spot and potentially become the franchise's future starter. He made his intentions clear shortly after being drafted. "I'm trying to bring Cleveland a Super Bowl," Sanders said during a visit to a local Cleveland high school this week. UNC growing ‘concerned' over Jordon Hudson's influence on Bill Belichick

People at the University of North Carolina are becoming 'concerned' about Jordon Hudson's influence on head football coach Bill Belichick. The latest revelation was reported on Monday night by TMZ, a day after an awkward interview with Belichick aired on 'CBS Sunday Morning,' where Hudson had interjected when the football coach was asked how he and Hudson had met. Belichick had been doing the sitdown with CBS to promote his new book, 'The Art of Winning.' Advertisement Now it seems that Hudson's influence is creating concerns at UNC with her essentially acting as his manager, the outlet reported. 5 Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson on the set of the CBS Sunday Morning interview. The awkward interview that aired included uncomfortable moments when Belichick was asked about Patriots owner Robert Kraft, and then when Belichick's relationship with Hudson came up. While CBS only included the one instance of Hudson cutting off a question for the six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach, that was far from the only time she made her presence felt. Hudson reportedly interrupted the interview on 'numerous' occasions and she would stop to correct him even when he was answering football-related questions, TMZ reported. Advertisement She even stormed out of the room after things got heated and wanted Belichick to follow her out, which ended up delaying the interview for half an hour and led to Tony Dokoupil quickly finishing up to get through the bizarre situation. 5 Bill Belichick interview gets awkward over Robert Kraft, Jordon Hudson questions. CBS There was no public relations person from the University of North Carolina, the publishing company of his book, or anyone else outside of Hudson with Belichick for the CBS interview. Advertisement A planned second interview with Belichick was canceled as well, according to the report. Pro Football Talk had been the first to report that Hudson had interrupted the CBS interview more than just the one time it was shown in the segment. Belichick and Hudson's relationship has been tabloid fodder since it first became public last June, with the latter giving people a glimpse into her relationship with the famed football coach on social media. 5 Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson on the red carpet before Super Bowl LIX NFL Honors at Saenger Theatre. USA TODAY Sports via Reuters Con While she wouldn't allow Belichick to discuss how they met on camera, she has posted about it, with a loved-up post back on Feb. 11 calling it their 'meetiversary.' Hudson and Belichick reportedly first met in 2021 on a flight from Boston to Florida. She has become a very visible presence with Belichick since their relationship became public knowledge. Belichick was hired as the head coach at UNC in December after taking a year hiatus from coaching following the Patriots and Belichick mutually agreeing to part ways following the 2023 NFL season.
