No. 41 Who's wearing it now: CB Greedy Vance Vance is an undrafted rookie out of USC. Who wore it best: LB Phil Villapiano One of the more bombastic characters in the history of the Raiders franchise. No. 43 Who's wearing it now: LB Michael Barrett Barrett was a seventh round draft choice by the Carolina Panthers in 2024 out of Michigan. He didn't make the Panthers roster out of camp and spent time on the practice squads of the Seahawks, Browns, and Packers throughout last season. He signed with the Raiders this offseason. Who wore it best: DB George Atkinson As the 190th player selected in the 1968 NFL Draft, Atkinson was recently ranked as the best player ever drafted at that spot in the history of the NFL. He was a Pro Bowler in his first two seasons in the league. And for a decade, Atkinson was the Raiders starting strong safety, including their 1976 Super Bowl XI squad alongside free safety Jack Tatum. Atkinson and Tatum both had 30 career interceptions which is fifth most in Raiders franchise history. Adding three more interceptions in 16 playoff games. His four defensive TD's is tied for fifth in Raiders history and he added one in the postseason as well.

In his third season, he took over as the full time starting right guard and remained there for seven full seasons. Nicholas Cage stars as the legendary NFL coach, who won Super Bowl XI in 1977 for the Raiders and later became a broadcaster. Earlier this week, Cage was similarly seen in an unrecognizable ensemble, complete with a wavy blonde wig and aqua blue tracksuit. "The film follows Madden's remarkable journey—from his Super Bowl-winning partnership with Al Davis and the Raiders, to creating Madden NFL, and becoming one of the most iconic voices in football history," Amazon MGM Studios said of the film when it was announced on May 13. Also joining the cast are John Mulaney as Trip Hawkins, Kathryn Hahn as Virginia Madden, and Sienna Miller as Carol Davis. David O. Russell, who previously directed Bale in The Fighter and American Hustle, is directing the film. Madden served as head coach of the Raiders from 1969 to 1978. He was one of the youngest head coaches in history when the Raiders hired him at 32. His biggest victory came in January 1977, when he led the Raiders to a 32-14 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl XI.
