Inside Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's 7 Year Wedding Anniversary

Last week, Meghan Markle posted a celebratory message to honor her wedding anniversary with Prince Harry. The couple was married at Windsor Castle in 2018 inside St. George's Chapel and they marked the seventh year anniversary with a trip to Arizona, according to Hello! Magazine, where they allegedly enjoyed some time together at a luxury spa. Meghan's public Instagram post for the day included shots of her life with Harry and their two children, six-year-old Archie and three-year-old Lilibet. In the caption, she wrote, 'Seven years of marriage. A lifetime of stories. Thanks to all of you (whether by our side, or from afar) who have loved and supported us throughout our love story—we appreciate you. Happy anniversary!' Some of the images of the children had never been seen before and the board of photos included shots from their trips to Morocco, Norway, and Botswana. While the Duchess of Sussex usually disguises her kids' faces to protect their privacy, she shared a bit more in this intimate collection. There was even a picture of Archie giving his little sister a kiss on the forehead, labeled as being from 2022. Another photo shows the couple seated around a table in the yard working on a painting project with both Archie and Lili. Meghan was recently interviewed on The Jamie Kern Lima Show, where she talked about how her and Harry's relationship improves every year. 'There's something that is not to be taken for granted when you have a partner and a spouse who is just so behind you,' Meghan said. 'You know, I mean, H, that man loves me so much. And you know, look what we built. We've built a beautiful life, and we have two healthy, beautiful children, [Archie and Lilibet].' She continued, 'And you know, I always think about it like the end of Super Mario Brothers when you get to the final, final level. And what's the goal in Super Mario? They're like, slay the dragon, save the princess. I'm like, that's my just going to do whatever he can to make sure that our family is safe and protected, and we're uplifted and still make time for date nights.'

Body Language Expert Says Meghan Markle Had an 'Emotional Shift' While Discussing Prince Harry

In the past, I've seen Meghan Markle conduct candid interviews with stars like Serena Williams, Mindy Kaling, Issa Rae, and Mariah Carey for her Archetypes podcast. But now, the spotlight is on the Duchess of Sussex as she opens up about her career, her family and life after stepping back from the monarchy in her first-ever podcast interview. The royal recently appeared on The Jamie Kern Lima Show, and the tell-all 90-minute talk, which went live on YouTube on Monday, has already garnered plenty of reactions from royal fans. However, body language expert Darren Stanton made some interesting observations while watching the mother of three talk about her husband, Prince Harry. Stanton noted that she initially appeared "fairly relaxed," but then he noticed a brief "emotional shift" in the former Suits actress when she discussed her early relationship with Prince Harry. Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Stanton recalled, 'There was a nice moment when Meghan spoke about her current relationship with Harry. She comes across as open when talking about personal matters, and seems happy to talk about her relationship with Harry and the interactions between them. Essentially, when she is being open and honest, she does seem to be fairly relaxed and doesn't appear nervous about giving away personal details, which is what came across at that point in the interview.' He continued, 'When speaking about her early relationship with Harry, it seems like Meghan is masking some of her emotions. She is lacking the key signs of genuine emotion, such as crow's feet at the corners of her eyes and full facial engagement. This could be due to Meghan feeling slightly uncomfortable about the line of questioning, making her expressions more performative than heartfelt.' Stanton also noted an increase in her blink rate—a common sign of nervousness and discomfort. He explained, 'When she refers to being 'in the trenches,' there is a clear increase in her blink rate. A sudden change in blink rate is often a subtle but telling indicator of an emotional shift. In this case, it likely reflects a moment of self-awareness. While it was clearly just a throwaway comment, she's aware of how her words could be perceived and interpreted, which causes her blink rate to increase.' Considering the chaos and media scrutiny that Markle and her husband experienced in the past, I can understand the slight shift in body language. Fortunately, the royal couple are now thriving and happy. While chatting about their romance, the duchess told Lima, "I mean, H, that man loves me so much. And look what we've built. We've built a beautiful life and we have two healthy, beautiful children. I always think about it like the end of Super Mario Brothers, when you get to the final level, and what's the goal in Super Mario? They're like, 'Slay the dragon, save the princess.' I'm like, 'That's my husband.' He's going to do whatever he can to make sure that our family is safe and protected and we're uplifted." Meghan Markle shares PDA-filled date night with Prince Harry after saying couple's in 'honeymoon' phase

Meghan Markle packed on the PDA with Prince Harry on Friday at a Beyoncé concert in Los Angeles. "About last night…. Thank you @beyonce and team for an amazing concert (and a very fun date night)! All love," the Duchess of Sussex wrote on her Instagram on Saturday, while sharing several photos and photos showing the royal couple dancing, embracing and kissing. The Saturday post comes less than two weeks after Markle said that she and Harry are in the "honeymoon" phase of their marriage. The 43-year-old likened their relationship to the final round of a video game where you "slay the dragon, save the princess," and dispelled any notion of divorce on friend Jamie Kern Lima's podcast late last month following months of speculation. "He's such a great partner. I feel that every day in how supportive he's been and is," Markle said on the podcast. "That man loves me so much and, you know, look what we've built. We've built a beautiful life, and we have two healthy, beautiful children." She continued, "I always think about it like the end of Super Mario Brothers and you get to the final final level, and what's the goal in Super Mario Brothers? Slay the dragon, save the princess." "I'm like, that's my husband," she added. "He's just out there constantly… going to do whatever he can to make sure our family is safe and protected and uplifted, and still make time for date nights." Markle said, "You have to imagine, at the beginning, everyone has butterflies, and then we immediately went into the trenches together right out of the gate, six months into dating. So now, seven years later when you have a little bit of breathing space, you can just enjoy each other in a new way, and that's why I feel like it's more of a honeymoon period for us now." "He's also a fox, if you haven't noticed," Markle joked. "My husband's very, very handsome. But his heart is even more beautiful." The PDA post also comes a week after Markle talked on her new podcast, "Confessions of a Female Founder," about the stresses of being under the "microscope" of the media while discussing launching her lifestyle brand. "Whatever I put out in the world will have so much attention," she said on the podcast on Tuesday. "I go, 'yeah.' And there's a flip side to that coin, which we know. It's a microscope that a lot of people don't have to experience." Markle rarely shares PDA photos with her husband, but after she started a new Instagram at the beginning of the year when she launched her lifestyle brand, the duchess began to post pictures of her family, including her children, (although mainly the backs of their heads). The couple stepped down as senior royals and left England in 2020 over what they perceived as intense and unfair scrutiny of Markle from the British media.

Meghan Markle finally reveals why she calls husband Prince Harry by the nickname 'H'

Meghan Markle has revealed the real reason why she calls husband Prince Harry by the nickname 'H' – and her explanation makes perfect sense. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, and her other half are both known to abbreviate each other's names when referring to each other, although no one really knew why… until now. Speaking to her friend, IT Cosmetics CEO Jamie Kern Lima, in her first ever podcast interview released on Monday, Meghan explained the origin of her unusual moniker for Prince Harry. She began by referring to when they first met almost a decade ago, in 2016. 'Probably at the beginning of us dating, when everything was in code,' Meghan said. 'People didn't know we were dating for - talk about memory lane - so long ago. 'I mean, it'll be our seven-year wedding anniversary soon.' Dropping the bombshell, Meghan continued: 'I couldn't tell anyone who I was dating, and who was keeping [the secret], so I think we were just on a letter basis.' Meghan added that their nicknames quickly 'stuck' and became something they use for each other regularly. 'I like it,' she added. 'I love nicknames.' Meghan and Prince Harry got engaged in November 2017. The couple wed on May 19, 2018 at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. Duchess of Sussex Meghan was first heard calling Prince Harry 'H' during their official royal tour of South Africa the following year. Meghan and Prince Harry are parents to two children, Archie, five, and Lilibet, three. Elsewhere on the podcast, Meghan likened her marriage to Prince Harry to the popular game Super Mario Brothers. During the episode, she reflected on the last seven years of her relationship with her other half and recognized just how far they've come as a couple. In doing so, she referred to the famous Nintendo gaming series Super Mario Bros, which first arrived on the scene in 1985. 'H, that man loves me so much and you know, look what we've built,' Meghan began. 'We built a beautiful life, and we have two healthy, beautiful children. 'I always think about it like the end of Super Mario Brothers when you get to the final level and what's the goal? They're like slay the dragon, save the princess. That's my husband.' When asked whether she's in love more than ever before, Meghan answered: 'You have to imagine, at the beginning it's like butterflies, and then we immediately went into the trenches together right out of the gate, six months into dating. 'So, now seven years later when you have a little bit of breathing space, you can just enjoy each other in a new way. And that's why I feel like it's more of a honeymoon period for us now.'

Meghan Markle SHUTS DOWN Divorce Rumours With Prince Harry: ‘It's More Of Honeymoon Period'

Last Updated: Meghan Markle's Super Mario comparison for Prince Harry drew online flak, with critics calling her 'cringy' and 'phony', but some defended her. Meghan Markle has dismissed split rumours, describing her marriage to Prince Harry as a continued 'honeymoon phase', but her comparison of their love story to the video game Super Mario Bros has triggered a social media storm. The Duchess of Sussex made the light-hearted remark during her first-ever podcast appearance, joining friend and IT Cosmetics CEO Jamie Kern Lima on a newly released episode. Reflecting on her seven-year-long relationship with Prince Harry, Meghan described the couple's journey using a playful metaphor drawn from the iconic 1985 Nintendo game. ''H', that man loves me so much and you know, look what we've built," Meghan said. 'We built a beautiful life and we have two healthy, beautiful children. I always think about it like the end of Super Mario Brothers when you get to the final level and what's the goal? They're like slay the dragon, save the princess. That's my husband." She added, 'He's also a fox, if you haven't noticed. My husband's very, very handsome. But his heart is even more beautiful." She also got candid about the evolution of their love, stating, 'You have to imagine, at the beginning it's like butterflies, and then we immediately went into the trenches together right out of the gate, six months into dating. So, now seven years later when you have a little bit of breathing space, you can just enjoy each other in a new way. And that's why I feel like it's more of a honeymoon period for us now." When asked whether she saw their marriage lasting forever, Meghan replied with a simple 'Yes." But her whimsical comparison didn't land well with everyone online. Some X (formerly Twitter) users criticised the comment as forced and insincere. ''So cringe,'" one wrote bluntly. Another mocked, 'Meghan Markle thinks she's The Princess and Prince Harry is Super Mario [laughing emoji]." Others questioned her intent. 'Why is Meghan so obsessed with all things British? You notice in this interview she was trying to call Harry a dragon slayer in her little reference to the Super Mario story. Everything Meghan does is scripted and she is so fake," a user wrote. One critic added, 'Okay, she really is fake, just cringe-level phony…" while another said, 'She is so pathetic and phony. Everything that comes out of her mouth makes her more unrelatable and weird." However, not all reactions were harsh. Some defended Meghan and celebrated her honesty. 'Why are so many of you offended by the fact her husband truly loves her and she is happy?" one asked. Another added humorously, 'If your marriage isn't a Super Mario marriage, does it even count?" First Published:
