The new season opened with a silver jubilee celebration, as the quiz-show has now completed 25 successful years, ready to win hearts once again. In the latest episode 3 on Wednesday, a young contestant Kashish, from Delhi, who pursued a degree in mathematics, played on the hot seat and won a grand prize money. After winning Rs 50 lakh through her general knowledge skills, she failed to answer a Rs 1 crore question towards the end. Amitabh also shared best wishes for the girl as she won enough money to repay her father's debt. The question was, 'Which king of the Visigoths demanded pepper, which ancient Rome typically traded from India, as ransom to lift a siege on the city?' The options for the correct answer were – A) Ludovic, B) Aymeric, C) Alaric, and D) Theodoric. Kashish had only one lifeline, hence she revived 'Sanket Suchak,' which she earned after the Super Sandook round, but couldn't answer the question about Ancient Rome. He entered the stage with the rollover contestant and remembered the time when he arrived on July 3, 2000 to host the show for the very first time. He recalled that the entire team was nervous before the show's launch, as KBC featured no songs or dance—only questions.
