The tennis courts at Oakley Court, a plush Victorian mansion hotel in Windsor, were transformed into a temporary miniature football pitch. A private £2million post-tour football party was planned at the hotel for Drake, his friends, crew, and VIP guests. But it was nearly ruined when it was realised there was not enough turf. The contractor operating the afterparty venue got in touch with Superstrong Fitness. It requested 300 square metres of heavy-duty gym turf. Michael Geraghty, founder of Superstrong Fitness, said: "I got a panicked text while I was sitting at Stockholm Airport. "The contractor was 120 square metres short. They needed more turf by lunchtime the next day. "I was about to board a flight back to Scotland. We didn't flinch. "I arranged an overnight courier before takeoff, landed in Edinburgh, and drove straight to our warehouse to meet the delivery van." 'I cried my eyes out for a fortnight' - emotional Sinead O'Connor's dad tells of losing his singer daughter and life without the star The surface was created on time and completed with spray-painted with pitch markings. SuperStrong Fitness, based in Hillington, Glasgow, was established in 2020 during the Covid lockdown. It has supplied turf and sled tracks to thousands of home gyms, CrossFit boxes, and commercial fitness spaces - including both the men's and women's training facilities at Manchester United. Michael added: "We might never see the footage. "But knowing our turf gave one of the biggest artists on the planet a chance to relax with mates after a mega show - that's more than enough for us."
