Teenager seeking treatment for gastric revealed her father raped her
KUALA SELANGOR: A teenage girl who initially complained of gastric pain while seeking treatment at Tanjong Karang Hospital was discovered to be a rape victim of her biological father.
Kuala Selangor OCPD Supet Azaharudin Tajuddin said he received a report regarding the incident from the hospital at 5.07pm on Tuesday (July 29), reported Sinar Harian.
According to him, the initial investigation found that the 17-year-old victim received treatment at the hospital at 6pm on Monday (July 28) after complaining of gastric pain.
"However, the doctor's initial interview with the victim led to a shocking revelation when the teenager informed that her 51-year-old biological father had raped her," he said in a statement on Wednesday (July 30).
According to him, following a police report, a team from the Kuala Selangor District Police Headquarters (IPD) arrested the suspect in the Bestari Jaya area here at 10.15pm the same day.
He said the suspect, who works as a masseuse, was remanded for seven days until Aug 5.
"The case is being investigated according to Section 376B of the Penal Code," he said.
