Still time to get entries in for Dundalk Show

There is still time to enter the various classes including cattle, sheep, horses, poultry, home industries as well as a section for children.
A very busy cattle section is expected with breeders hoping to win their class, exhibit a breed champion and hopefully take home the Supreme Champion title. The cattle section covers breeds such as Simmental, Limousin, Charolais, Hereford, Belgian Blue, Angus, Highland and Commerical. There are Qualifiers, an All Ireland Championship(Breeders Choice) and Young Handler competition.
The sheep section may not be as huge as last year but will a large number of entries is still expected. This year, sheep classes cover Irish Dutch Spotted, Irish Dutch Commercial, Charolais, Suffolk, the North East Texel Championship, All Ireland Cheviot Championship, National Stock Care All Ireland Crossbred and Mule Championship, North East Lleyn Championship, Vendeen, Hampshire Down, Bluefaced Leicester, Rouge, Lanark Type Blackface Mountain, Swaledale, Roughfell, Perth Type Blackface Mountain, Mountain Type Horned Sheep(Any Breed) and Young Handler competition.
Equine lovers will have their day out at Dundalk Show with a large number of classes for showing and riding. These include Clear Round Jumping, Riding Horses, Young Horses, Connemara Ponies, Pony Open and Novice Riding, Riding School 1st Year Showing, Overal Championship and the All Ireland Donkey Mare and Foal Championship Qualifier.
A busy poultry section is always expected and this year is no exception. There are classes for all types of fowl from Hens to Bantams and Waterfowl and also for eggs.
Dogs attract a lot of attention and there are many classes for Man's Best Friend. Classes include large, medium and small covering pedigree, rescue and family og( non pedigree). Other dog classes include Young Handlers Up to 9 years (any breed), Gun Dog/Working Dog, Puppy Up to 12 months, Dog the Judge would most like to take home, Best Traditional Breed, Best Groomed Dog and All Ireland Irish Native Breed Dog Championship Qualifier.
