He's not just my son, but a soldier of Bharat Mata: Jawan's mother

Ara: In a modest home in Farhada village under Barhara block of Bhojpur district, the television flickers with images of rising tensions along the India-Pakistan border. But for 72-year-old Sumitra Devi , there is no trembling in her voice, no fear in her eyes – only the quiet fire of conviction and patriotism .Her son, CRPF jawan Sushil Kumar Singh , known as Munna Singh, is stationed in the rugged terrain of Ramban near Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir where the conflict is not just political but deeply personal for families like hers. Yet, on the eve of Mother's Day, her concerns rise far above her own maternal fears."When the safety of all the children of Bharat Mata is at stake, why should I worry only about my son?" she said. "What harm had those innocent newly married couples done, who were mercilessly separated – husbands killed in front of their wives by the terrorists patronised by Pakistan?" she the call with her son, she added, "I told him to keep fighting. Operation Sindoor 'Common sense prevailed': Trump on India-Pak ceasefire on Truth Social 'Pakistan initiated call; both nations agreed to stop military action after direct talks', says India Ceasefire took effect at 5pm; top India, Pak military officials to talk again on May 12 Enough is enough. This senseless terrorism and their sponsors must be rooted out."Patriotism, it seems, flows through her veins. Her elder son, Vinod Kumar Singh, is a retired Army jawan. Her husband, Rang Nath Singh, a retired Ara civil court employee, was sitting beside her. "My son rushed home when I was ill. But I told him that serving the motherland is no less important than serving your own mother. I insisted he return to duty. Given the chance, I would stand beside him in battle," the woman asked what she tells her son over the phone, she said, "I remind him he is fighting for a noble cause – the safety of our nation, of innocent citizens. I tell him, never forget that you are protecting all the children of Bharat Mata."
