North Yorkshire running club raises more than 6K for charities

A North Yorkshire running club has raised more than £6,000 for its two chosen charities.
Over two years, Bedale and Aiskew Runners (BAR) collected the money through various activities such as the Bedale Christmas 5k Run and Santa Fun Run, BAR Endure 48, a "Naked Run," and charity collections at the Bedale Car Boot sale.

The amount was divided between Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team (SMRT) and Yorkshire Cancer Research.
SMRT received £3,042, which will help with training, equipment, and outfitting members.
Representatives from SMRT expressed their gratitude during a visit to a club meeting at the Bedale Sports Club.
