Goyal is in Sweden to, among other things, participate in the two countries' Joint Commission for Economic, Industrial and Scientific Cooperation.
He will meet with Swedish International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Minister Benjamin Dousa, with the two taking part in bilateral discussions and business events with companies from Sweden and India.
One of the topics up for discussion during the trip is the ongoing negotiations on a free trade agreement between India and the EU.
"India is a fast growing economy, which in a few years is expected to be the world's third largest," said Dousa in a statement, describing pushing for the EU to sign a new free trade agreement with India as a top priority for the Swedish government.

The two ministers are also set to discuss Swedish-Indian cooperation in areas such as trade, innovation, research, health, energy, telecoms and the business climate.
Sweden and India have both attempted to strengthen their ties in recent years.
With more than 280 Swedish companies active in India, Swedish exports to India last year amounted to 22 billion kronor, an increase of 17 percent compared to 2023. In the same period, Sweden imports from India increased 16 percent to 13 billion kronor.
