M&S selling £35 beauty bag worth £210 as online orders resume

The full-size Estée Lauder Double Wear Mascara costs £29 on its own, the entire bag is only £35 Marks and Spencer has resumed online orders after a cyber attack in April prevented shoppers from buying items in physical stores. On Tuesday, June 10, the retailer's website reopened to customers, offering a selection of fashion and new products for purchase and home delivery to England, Wales, and Scotland. Taking to social media this morning, M&S managing director of clothing, home and beauty John Lyttle said: "We are bringing back online shopping this week. More of our fashion, home and beauty products will be added every day, and we will resume deliveries to Northern Ireland and Click and Collect in the coming weeks. Thank you sincerely for your support and for shopping with us." ‌ Upon the website's return to taking online orders, M&S has released a new summer beauty bag worth £210. The bundle includes 11 products and only costs £35 to buy. ‌ However, for now, the bag is only available to buy in stores as M&S continues to add more beauty products back online. It is likely to appear on the website this week or next. The bag has gotten plenty of attention on social media as bargain hunters and savvy shoppers share the £35 bag with fellow shoppers. On the popular Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a member named Tamara uploaded several pictures of the bag. She said: "Beauty bargain at M&S! £35 for the bag and all of the goodies inside, which totals up to £210 worth of beauty products!" She added: "The floral street perfume and Estée Lauder mascara are worth £29 each on their own!" Many headed to the comment section to share their thoughts. Victoria said: "It's a lovely box, my mum treated me to it a few days ago & it's lovely products." Jade said: "Got mine, it's brilliant." Marley tagged a friend and wrote: "Have you seen this?? meant to be such good value for money." What's inside M&S' £25 summer bag? Shoppers interested in the bag can read more about it on the M&S website. A statement about it online reads: "Beauty fanatics rejoice, the summer beauty bag is available to buy in store for just £35. Worth £210, the latest edition is bursting with iconic products in a brightly printed wash bag, making it ideal for getaways." The contents of the bag include: ‌ This Work's Perfect Body Smoothing Wash Discover's Sweet Frangipani handbag-size eau de toilette Bloom & Blossom's Mission Moisture Body Cream ARKIVE's Good Habit Hybrid Oil Estée Lauder's Double Wear Mascara, full-size REN Evercalm Daily Moisturiser ColorWow's Dream Coat spray Floral Street 's Electric Rhubarb Estée Lauder 's Revitalising Supreme Youth Power Crème Moisturiser Tangle Teezer hairbrush Dr Paw Paw's original balm What happened to M&S? The cyber attack occurred in April, leading to substantial disruptions for the store. M&S paused orders on its website during the Easter weekend and faced empty shelves after hackers targeted it. Hackers also stole customers' personal data, which may have included names, email addresses, postal addresses, and dates of birth. ‌ Last month, M&S disclosed that the breach was due to "human error" and estimated the cost to be around £300 million. In May, Chief Executive Stuart Machin said that hackers accessed the company's IT systems via a third party while reporting annual figures. Despite the challenges, all 565 stores remained open and operational, although contactless payments were initially affected. Stock availability issues occurred as the company had to revert to manual processes temporarily after the attack. M&S indicated that this incident could reduce its group operating profits by approximately £300 million this year. However, it anticipates mitigating this impact through cost management, insurance, and other measures. The company believes it could lessen the effects of the attack by as much as "half." M&S shoppers say 'tropical' £10 summer perfume 'smells like' £105 Gucci spray

Marks and Spencer shoppers have claimed the store's latest perfume is "perfect for summer" and could easily pass for a luxury brand that sells for over £100. But by opting for the M&S version, they'd only need to spend just £10. The high-street retailer's popular Discover perfume range is often a major hit with shoppers who like to smell a little luxurious but don't want to spend a designer price tag. Plenty of choices are said to smell almost identical to big names like Yves Saint Laurent, Coco Mademoiselle, Jo Malone, and Paco Rabanne. Now, there is a new fragrance on offer. Shoppers spotted the bright pink Sweet Frangipani available in stores for £10 in a 100ml bottle. This could be an ideal chance to pick up a fresh new perfume perfect for summer. Online, M&S bosses say that Sweet Frangipani blends "the intoxicating sweetness of frangipani blossoms with the soft, delicate scent of rose petals". The mix is complemented by a creamy vanilla base that builds on the "irresistible and long-lasting floral experience". Reviews began appearing in March when the perfume was released, and most were instant fans who deemed it a five-star bottle. Some quickly compared it to Gucci Rush, a designer perfume that can cost £105 for a 75ml bottle. Instagram One said: "This is exactly the same as Gucci Rush which is my fave scent. Bought on a whim and after one spray, and an hour later, I got back online and bought another two bottles - love love love it!" Another added: "Beautiful perfume for spring and summer. Had a spritz in store and its very fresh, light and summery, perfect for warmer days." A third wrote: "Frangipani is one of my favourite perfume notes and this captures it perfectly. There is just a hint of rose and the vanilla adds to the creaminess of it. A lovely tropical perfume that is perfect for the upcoming warmer months but could equally be worn all year round." Someone else claimed: "Love the frangipani flower. This smell reminds me of holidays." And, a fifth posted: "Lovely fruity perfume and it lasts. A good quality perfume and well worth the money." Currently, M&S shoppers are unable to place online or app orders following a cyber attack. The brand has been unable to process online orders since last Friday, after click-and-collect orders and contactless payments were first affected by the attack, which is being investigated by police. The retailer has yet to resume online orders, and some of its stores are experiencing empty shelves due to the decision to take certain systems offline as a precaution. A spokeswoman for M&S said on Tuesday that it had taken some of its system 'temporarily offline' as part of its 'management' of the incident, and this had meant 'pockets of limited availability' in some stores. On Wednesday, the Metropolitan Police confirmed it was investigating the incident. Cyber attacks are complicated incidents which can be difficult to recover from.
