M&S shoppers say 'tropical' £10 summer perfume 'smells like' £105 Gucci spray
Marks and Spencer shoppers have claimed the store's latest perfume is "perfect for summer" and could easily pass for a luxury brand that sells for over £100. But by opting for the M&S version, they'd only need to spend just £10.
The high-street retailer's popular Discover perfume range is often a major hit with shoppers who like to smell a little luxurious but don't want to spend a designer price tag. Plenty of choices are said to smell almost identical to big names like Yves Saint Laurent, Coco Mademoiselle, Jo Malone, and Paco Rabanne.
Now, there is a new fragrance on offer. Shoppers spotted the bright pink Sweet Frangipani available in stores for £10 in a 100ml bottle. This could be an ideal chance to pick up a fresh new perfume perfect for summer.
Online, M&S bosses say that Sweet Frangipani blends "the intoxicating sweetness of frangipani blossoms with the soft, delicate scent of rose petals". The mix is complemented by a creamy vanilla base that builds on the "irresistible and long-lasting floral experience".
Reviews began appearing in March when the perfume was released, and most were instant fans who deemed it a five-star bottle. Some quickly compared it to Gucci Rush, a designer perfume that can cost £105 for a 75ml bottle.
Instagram
One said: "This is exactly the same as Gucci Rush which is my fave scent. Bought on a whim and after one spray, and an hour later, I got back online and bought another two bottles - love love love it!" Another added: "Beautiful perfume for spring and summer. Had a spritz in store and its very fresh, light and summery, perfect for warmer days."
A third wrote: "Frangipani is one of my favourite perfume notes and this captures it perfectly. There is just a hint of rose and the vanilla adds to the creaminess of it. A lovely tropical perfume that is perfect for the upcoming warmer months but could equally be worn all year round."
Someone else claimed: "Love the frangipani flower. This smell reminds me of holidays." And, a fifth posted: "Lovely fruity perfume and it lasts. A good quality perfume and well worth the money."
Currently, M&S shoppers are unable to place online or app orders following a cyber attack. The brand has been unable to process online orders since last Friday, after click-and-collect orders and contactless payments were first affected by the attack, which is being investigated by police.
The retailer has yet to resume online orders, and some of its stores are experiencing empty shelves due to the decision to take certain systems offline as a precaution. A spokeswoman for M&S said on Tuesday that it had taken some of its system 'temporarily offline' as part of its 'management' of the incident, and this had meant 'pockets of limited availability' in some stores.
On Wednesday, the Metropolitan Police confirmed it was investigating the incident. Cyber attacks are complicated incidents which can be difficult to recover from.

The 65-year-old Loose Women star mentioned that she made it after a 'very long' Pilates session this week, showcasing the dish on Instagram. "Quick, lunch for one," she wrote. "Did Pilates this morning with @siobhanklloyd after a VERY long time so I thought I'd better follow up with a healthy lunch!" If you're eager to try Ruth's recipe, here are the eight essential ingredients she used. One portion Lettuce Chopped cucumber Avocado slices M&S Seafood Sauce Cooked prawns A small volume of milk A sprinkle of black pepper A sprinkle of paprika Article continues below To kickstart her recipe, Ruth first chopped her ingredients off-camera before throwing the lettuce, chopped cucumber and lettuce into a dish. She then placed her cooked prawns in a separate bowl before coating them in a generous spoonful of the M&S Seafood sauce. Once thoroughly mixed together, she popped the prawns on top of the salad in her serving dish. However, she then realised that a little more dressing was needed. In light of this, she blended more of the seafood sauce with a tiny splash of milk in another separate bowl. She said this helped to loosen the dressing, which she subsequently drizzled over the salad. As a final touch, paprika and black pepper were sprinkled on top. Ruth added: " battery-operated pepper mill has a light!!!" The TV star's recipe was quickly showered by comments from fans, with many complementing her straight-forward but delicious-seeming recipe. Romeo Beckham's sweet four-word message to dad after he finally gets knighthood
Sir David Beckham has shared an adorable post by his son Romeo, 22, congratulating him on receiving a knighthood - while Cruz and Brooklyn are yet to publicly break their silence Romeo Beckham has shared a sweet four-word message to his dad after it has been announced in the King's Birthday Honours List that David Beckham is set to receive a knighthood. Gone are the days Victoria will be nicknamed Posh, and she really has lived up to the moniker as Victoria, who received an OBE in 2017, also receives a new title with David's honour, and she will now be known as Lady Victoria Beckham. Each of the Beckham children are also famous, having grown up in front of the gaze of millions of fans. Although they have earned their own status' within the world of showbiz, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper Beckham won't get any royal recognition due to their dad's new title. Taking to Instagram in the early hours of Saturday, June 14 Romeo shared a black and white image of him and his dad with the words "So proud of you". David then shared it to his stories. Brooklyn and Cruz are yet to publicly congratulate their dad. The news comes as the family have been locked in a feud with eldest son Brooklyn, 26. Things came to a head when Brooklyn and wife Nicola Peltz skipped David's 50th birthday celebrations as the drama has reportedly resulted in the couple cutting contact with the famous family. Sir David said in a statement to the PA news agency: 'Growing up in East London with parents and grandparents who were so patriotic and proud to be British I never could have imagined I would receive such a truly humbling honour. 'To have played for and captained my country was the greatest privilege of my career and literally a boyhood dream come true. Off the pitch I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to represent Britain around the world and work with incredible organisations that are supporting communities in need and inspiring the next generation. 'I'm so lucky to be able to do the work that I do and I'm grateful to be recognised for work that gives me so much fulfilment. It will take a little while for the news to sink in but I'm immensely proud and it's such an emotional moment for me to share with my family.' Like every person who has received a knighthood, Sir David will be treated to an official ceremony. The ceremony, which often happens at Buckingham Palace, will see David kneel in front of a monarch – which can be either the King or another member of the Royal Family such as Princess Anne or Prince William – who will then touch the recipient's shoulder with a sword.

Pregnant Sophie Habboo shows off her blossoming baby bump in a hilarious slogan crop top as she shares series of stylish snaps
Pregnant Sophie Habboo proudly showcased her blossoming baby bump in a series of Instagram snaps shared on Friday. The former Made in Chelsea star, 30, flaunted her growing bump in a white crop top with the slogan 'Too Old For [Leonardo] DiCaprio ' printed on it as she posed for a mirror selfie. She also shared a stunning shot of herself in a white dress as she strolled through the streets of London while holding a iced coffee and her phone. Sophie also posted behind-the-scenes glimpses from the recording studio and a visit to the hairdresser as she documented the early days of her pregnancy. She wrapped up her photo dump with a fun picture of her husband, Jamie Laing, enjoying an ice cream, along with some delicious food she recently indulged in. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Sophie revealed earlier this week on her and Jamie's newly named podcast NearlyParents, that she has struggled with some aspects of her pregnancy. She confessed that when her second trimester hit, she felt like she was 'dying' and was dealing with a lot of hormones that made her frequently feel irritated. 'This girl has gone from a bit of a b***h to don't come near me,' she quipped. 'Up until week eight, I was smooth sailing. No good aversions, no sickness, so much energy, I was like what is every talking about this is unbelievable. 'Week eight hit and everyone's starting to grate to me a bit. Like that man sat next to me on the plane breathing, like is it illegal if I punch him in the face? 'If you're a fan of the podcast, I love you so much but you're not going to like me if you meet me at the moment.' Jamie said he struggled to get his head around Sophie's mood changes with pregnancy, recalling: 'I asked Sophie if she had any cravings and she said, ''No, the only craving I have is hating you''. 'I then spent an evening on Reddit looking at "Why does your wife hate her husband so much when they're pregnant". He went on: 'Sophie is teaching me to drive and I'm a little bit nervous in the car and she goes "You're a s**t driver". I'm literally in my head going "Oh my god she's hasn't eaten this is really scary". 'Sophie then gets so angry she says to me "I'm so angry I want to drive us both into the back of this car and kill us". And then she started crying!' Sophie confessed that the 'anger is uncontrollable' but that it 'was very fleeting' as she lamented how her 'enormous t*ts' also meant she couldn't fit in any of her clothes. Jamie candidly told listeners how he owed her a real apology after not taking her hormones seriously and threatening to leave her over her 'grumpiness'. Sophie said: 'Jamie was like "Oh you're just milking it, you fake all your hormones, there's no such thing". He went "Oh you're just faking all of this." I was like "Oh my god" as I'm lying there with my enormous t*ts out and I can't fit into a single thing.' Recalling the incident in question, she went on: 'We are leaving and I feel really sick this day and Jamie gets his camera out and goes "I'm going to vlog today". Like on my Sunday that I'm about to vomit all day long. 'And what happened was Jamie sits down and he goes "I'm going to call my friends and ask them what I should do about this. Because I'm going to have to leave you. I'm going to leave you because you're just so unbearable right now."' Jokingly pretending to break down in tears, she shared: 'And I went "You're going to leave me and I'm pregnant".' It comes after the couple took to their podcast to tell their fans all about their impeding parenthood for the first time, where Sophie revealed some of the struggles she'd been dealing with in her pregnancy In defence of his actions, Jamie quickly added: 'The amount of people who are going to call me an a*****e. Just a caveat to add - I had no idea the emotional journey that you go on, how your body changes. 'I just didn't understand the extreme things that go on and since having read stuff on Instagram, I am awe of what you go through. The hormone change is wild.' Showing their Chelsea roots, the couple also revealed that Sophie's worst craving so far was for caviar, recounting how they had dashed round London trying to find a shop that was open at 8pm. Jamie explained they eventually found a caviar store only to discover a single pot cost £240, as he declared: 'I was like "Well that craving has to stop there and then". Sophie revealed that after some Googling, she learned it is recommended that pregnant people avoid the expensive delicacy due to the risks of bacteria and mercury. However, she confessed that the risks were the only thing that stopped her eating it, otherwise would not have allowed the hefty price tag to put her off.
