Nayanthara will play the female lead. This will mark her grand return to Telugu cinema after a long hiatus. Mega157 marks their third collaboration. The film is produced by Sahu Garapati under Shine Screens, along with Sushmita Konidela's Gold Box Entertainments, and presented by Smt Archana. It will be hitting the big screens on the occasion of Sankranti 2026. It is expected to be a comedy-action entertainer, similar to director Anil Ravupudi's other projects. However, the plot details have been kept under wraps, it is rumoured that Venkatesh Daggubati may make a cameo appearance. The shooting of the film is currently underway. Coming back to Chiranjeevi, he will be next seen in the fantasy drama film, Vishwambhara. Previously slated for release in January 2025, the film's release date has now been pushed to September. Helmed by Mallidi Vassishta, it features an ensemble cast including Trisha Krishnan, Kunal Kapoor, Ashika Ranganath, Surbhi Puranik, and Isha Chawla. Nayanthara, on the other hand, was last seen in the thriller film Test along with R Madhavan and Siddharth. The film was released on Netflix. Megastar Chiranjeevi's next big venture, #Mega157, is creating ripples already — and it hasn't even gone on floors yet! Directed by commercial entertainer specialist Anil Ravipudi, the film is shaping up to be a laugh riot and promises to bring back Chiru's trademark comic flair after a long break. ‘Mega 157': Nayanthara joins Chiranjeevi's film with Anil Ravipudi
Nayanthara has joined the cast of the upcoming movie starring Chiranjeevi. Tentatively titled Mega 157, the Telugu movie will be directed by Anil Ravipudi. Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela will produce the movie under the banners Shine Screens and Goldbox Entertainment respectively. The makers announced Nayanthara's casting with a video. In the video, Nayanthara is seen speaking in Telugu as she gets ready and travels to meet Ravipudi. On her way, she listens to a famous number from a Chiranjeevi movie in the car. Later, the actor is seen being very impressed with the script of Mega 157. The video ends with Nayanthara meeting Ravipudi and confirming her role in the movie. The movie, which hit the screens on January 14, 2025, collected close to ₹300 crore at the box office. Strong Condemnation of Pahalgam Terror Attack
The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, on behalf of the Telugu Film Industry, strongly condemns the horrific terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, 2025. The attack claimed the lives of 26 innocent tourists, including two foreigners, a Navy officer, and an Intelligence Bureau officer, among others. We view this barbaric act as a grave assault on humanity. The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce and all its members extend heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wish a speedy recovery for the injured. Terrorism, in any form, is a scourge on society, and we call for united efforts to eradicate it completely. The Telugu Film Industry, through films such as 'Maharshi', 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy', and 'Baahubali', has always been committed to promoting peace, harmony, and humanitarian values. The perpetrators of this attack must be brought to justice, and we urge the authorities to take all necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
