Florence And The Machine to release first album in three years on Halloween
The Florence Welch-fronted indie pop group, whose last album Dance Fever was released in May 2022, will release their sixth album on record, CD and cassette as well as on streaming on October 31. It comes after Welch, 38, teased new music by posting a video on her personal Instagram account of herself digging a hole before looking down and screaming into it, and a video of herself walking across a field. A post shared by Florence + The Machine (@florenceandthemachine) The new album was announced with a picture of its cover posted to Instagram, which shows Welch reclining in a black-and-white outfit, and is currently available for pre-order. The band's last record reached number one on the UK albums chart, and they also released the live album Symphony Of Lungs, recorded at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall with Jules Buckley and his Orchestra, in 2024.
