Downed Amtrak wire leads to signal fire causing delays on several commuter rail lines; may last for weeks
On the Franklin/Foxboro Line, inbound trains to Boston will bypass Forest Hills, Ruggles, and Back Bay Stations, according to Keolis. All inbound trains from Forge Park will originate at Franklin Station after 9 a.m. Keolis encouraged Forge Park passengers to arrive '20 minutes earlier' than the regularly scheduled train departure, and to take shuttle bus service to Franklin Station. For passengers going to Forest Hills, Ruggles, or Back Bay, Keolis advised transferring to a Providence Line train at Readville or staying on to South Station and transferring to an outbound train or the subway. Advertisement Three additional outbound midday trains on the Franklin/Foxboro Line will stop at Hyde Park, where buses will be available to take passengers to Readville Station for continued train service, Keolis said. The 5:32 p.m. outbound train to Foxboro from South Station will terminate at Walpole, Keolis said, where shuttle buses can take passengers to Foxboro Station. On the Providence/Stoughton Line, some inbound trains will make added stops at Readville and Forest Hills Stations, according to Keolis. Advertisement Passengers on the Providence/Stoughton Line will not be able to board outbound trains at Hyde Park Station, Keolis said. Shuttle buses will be available instead to take passengers to Readville Station. On the Fairmount Line, inbound trains from Readville will run express to South Station, not making local Fairmount Line stops, according to Keolis. 'Passengers should anticipate delays and are advised to subscribe to T-Alerts and follow MBTA_CR_Alerts on X to get the most up to date information on Commuter Rail schedules,' Keolis said.
