Everyone must contribute to AP's growth: CM Naidu
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has felt that true development is only possible through strong political governance, where public representatives and officials work in tandem. Recalling the massive public mandate secured in June 2024 with a 94% strike rate, he said the people voted not just for regime change but for rebuilding the State after five years of misgovernance. Marking the completion of one year in office, the Chief Minister presented the government's progress from June 2024 to June 2025, and laid out the long-term roadmap for a prosperous, inclusive, and globally competitive Andhra Pradesh during a meeting conducted in the name of 'Superipalanalo Tholi Adugu' behind the State Secretariat on Monday. Highlighting seamless functioning of the TDP-JSP-BJP- combine, he credited it to the committed leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and State BJP president D Purandeswari, noting their crucial role in ensuring coordinated governance. 'This is not just coalition of parties, it is a coalition of purpose,' he said. The previous regime, he said, led to the breakdown of investor confidence, collapse of law and order, loss of institutional integrity, and irrational policy decisions such as the three-capital proposal, he said. Stating that the support from the Centre gave breath to his government, he said the economic growth rebounded sharply with a 12.02% rise in GSDP, taking the State's economy to Rs 15.93 lakh crore. He emphasised the importance of creating wealth to support welfare. The State attracted Rs 9.34 lakh crore in investments over 11 months, resulting in 8.5 lakh job opportunities. Andhra Pradesh's share in national exports rose from 4.52% to 4.75% in 2024-25 despite a national slowdown. P4 was highlighted as the government's foundational approach to eradicate poverty by 2029. Under this model, 87,226 Bangaru Kutumbams (bottom 20%) have been adopted by 14,569 Margadarsis (top 10%) for structured support in areas such as education, skilling, entrepreneurship, tech enablement, and income generation.

Approval from TDP HQ necessary to admit leaders, Andhra CM Naidu says
VIJAYAWADA: As the induction of leaders from other parties into the coalition is creating minor rifts between the TDP-JSP-BJP cadres at times, TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu has directed the leaders to inform the party central office before doing that. In a release issued on Saturday, TDP State president Palla Srinivasa Rao said as per the directions of the party supremo it is mandatory to inform the party central office before inviting leaders from other parties into the TDP fold. Mentioning that the central office will critically analyse the leaders willing to join the TDP, Palla said Naidu gave clear instructions that induction of leaders from other parties should take place only with the approval of the central leadership. The TDP State chief asked the leaders serving in different positions in the party to make a note of the directions issued by the TDP supremo. In fact, admitting former YSRCP leader and Visakha Dairy Chairman Adari Anand Kumar into the BJP sparked a row with the TDP taking serious exception to it.

Let's set aside egos, there will be no divorce, says Andhra Minister Nara Lokesh
KADAPA: TDP national general secretary and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh has emphasised the importance of unity in governance and the need for political humility. Addressing a massive public gathering as part of the TDP Mahanadu in Kadapa on Thursday, he said the TDP-JSP-BJP alliance, with the full support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is working efficiently to develop the State on all fronts. Lokesh called for humility in leadership, drawing lessons from the previous regime's downfall. 'Arrogance destroyed the past rulers. From 151 seats, they were reduced to just 11. Power should never disconnect us from the ground. We should serve people whether we are in power or not,' he stressed. Addressing concerns within the alliance, he acknowledged minor issues but emphasised unity. 'Even small families have internal issues. In an alliance, it is natural. But we should put egos aside and work together. Write this down - there will be no break-up. If we want the State to prosper and people to be happy, we should stay united,' he asserted. Lokesh underscored the importance of government continuity for sustained progress. Reflecting on the development achieved during 2014-19, he said the change in government in 2019 halted Andhra Pradesh's development momentum, and sent it back by 30 years due to poor governance.
