‘Strongly advised' – Irish Rail issue urgent alert for passengers ahead of major event in seaside town this weekend
IRISH Rail has "strongly advised" people heading to a major event in a seaside town to arrive early tomorrow.
The Bray Air Display is one of Ireland's biggest free public events, drawing more than 100,000 spectators every year.

Irish Rail has said services to Bray will operate throughout the day.
However, attendees should plan to arrive early if they want a good seafront spot.

Train stations will be busy and passengers are also being urged to stay behind the yellow lines at platforms.
They wrote in a message to passengers: "The Bray Air Display returns this Saturday, 2 August, with a thrilling afternoon of aerial performances and family-friendly fun on the Bray Seafront.
"Iarnród Éireann will operate additional DART services between Connolly Station and Bray, and Bray and Greystones throughout the day.
"The air display begins at approximately 15:00, early arrival is strongly advised. Bray Station is just minutes from the seafront.

"Frequent DART services throughout the day to and from Connolly Station, Bray, and Greystones.
"Your safety matters. Large crowds are expected, so please allow extra time, follow staff directions, and stay behind the yellow line on platforms.

Irish Rail has also warned that some services will be very busy on Sunday as the TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Football Final will take place in Dublin's Croke Park.
They added: "This year's TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Football Final takes place at Croke Park, on Sunday, August 3, 2025.
"The senior final kicks off at 16:15, featuring Dublin and Meath.
"Ahead of that, the intermediate final sees Laois battle Tyrone at 13:45, while the junior final gets underway at 11:45 between Antrim and Louth.

"For those travelling to watch the match, make sure to book your train ticket online here, as services will be busy.
"Please remember, alcohol is strictly prohibited on our services and will be removed by security teams."
