Shopper amazed by 'giant' Aldi £3.30 Too Good To Go box that 'didn't disappoint'
A woman was left pleasantly surprised when she got a £3.30 Too Good To Go box from Aldi which contained a range of delicious treats As the cost of food continues to skyrocket, people are seeking ways to sace cash on their grocery bills. One method that has proven effective for many is utilising the Too Good To Go app. Aldi's Too Good To Go bags are a fantastic bargain as they typically contain a variety of tasty, often freezable, food items at a significantly reduced price, all while helping to combat food waste. Occasionally, you might even strike gold with a bag that's worth considerably more than its purchase price. A woman named Rackie decided to put the value of the Too Good To Go bags to the test and purchased a £3.30 bag from her local Aldi. However, she was taken aback when she received a box full of items instead of the usual bag. "I'm back with a giant Too Good To Go box. This one's from Aldi," she announced in her TikTok video, revealing that the entire box and its contents only set her back £3.30. "And it's huge, so let's go through it," she said. The first items she pulled out were two bags of carrots, which she had picked up for 8p each as a treat for her dog. She then delved into the goodies she'd scored from her Too Good To Go deal, reports the Manchester Evening News. "Right, in the box we have a tiger bloomer," she said, holding up the loaf of bread. "I love tiger bread, this is exciting. It's huge as well." Next, she unearthed four individual packets of crisps, each a different flavour. Surprised by her next find, she said: "We have... we've got a whole bag of chopped cooked carrots. Maybe that was in a bigger bag and they like split it out into sandwich bags? I'll eat them, I hardly ever eat carrots because they go to the dog." The discovery continued with clementines, as well as two packs of luxury fruit hot cross buns, and then six tins of tuna in water, brine or sunflower oil. As she unearthed a bag filled with plums, she admitted: "I don't know my fruits, I've got some plums. I'm not very good at fruits, I don't really like fruits so these will go probably to my dad who takes all of the stuff that I don't eat." She then pulled out a yellow pepper - earmarked for a stir-fry - followed by a small bottle of blackcurrant-flavoured still water and a twin pack of toffee-filled muffins. She continued: "And, I've got, let me just show you, a big cardboard box which the cats will be very happy to sleep in," as one cat had already made itself comfortable in the box. "I'm very, very pleased with this one," and concluded her video with an affirmative thumbs up to her viewers. The comments section of Rackie's video lit up, with viewers suggesting that it might just be one of the finest Too Good To Go surprise parcels they've seen. One impressed viewer said: "That's the best thought out TGTG I've ever seen, the different flavours of crisps and different tunas, seems like they genuinely considered things. "If you do this consistently and don't like fruits I can highly recommend learning to make jam. It's really easy and jars of homemade jam make great gifts," a second person shared. However, another viewer said: "Our Aldi ones are always poor. Too much of the same stuff. Who can use five bags of watery stirfry and 10 mangoes?!"
