Filipino restaurant Hayop offers ube shake promo for J-Hope concert ticket holders

The Manam promotion - valid for dine-in or take-out - is limited to 20 redemptions a day. PHOTOS: THE MOMENT GROUP SINGAPORE - Calling all J-Hope fans attending the South Korean rapper and singer-songwriter's concerts at Singapore Indoor Stadium - consider making a detour to Filipino restaurant Hayop Ni Manam in Amoy Street in the coming week. From April 26 to May 2, the restaurant is offering a one-for-one deal on its striking purple ube and sago shake ($15). To redeem the shake, present your ticket for J-Hope's Hope On The Stage concert, happening on April 26 and 27. J-Hope is a member of South Korean boyband sensation BTS. The Manam promotion - valid for dine-in or take-out - is limited to 20 redemptions a day. Hayop's promotion here follows a similar one that ran at its sister restaurant chain Manam in the Philippines, in line with his concerts there on April 12 and 13. J-Hope's livestream on fan platform Weverse on April 13, where he ate a takeaway meal from Manam, sparked a buzz on social media as diners flocked to dine at the restaurant chain. His meal included crispy pata (deep-fried whole pork knuckle); crispy pork sisig; sinigang na baboy sa sampaloc, which is pork and vegetable soup made sour with fresh sampaloc (tamarind); garlic rice; and ube shake. He also had namnam halo-halo - Manam's take on the Filipino favourite, a dessert layered with shaved ice, nata de coco, red beans, palm seeds and topped with ube ice cream and leche flan - which he called his 'favourite dessert'. Following this, Manam gave out free ube and sago shakes to its 'army paboritos' with any order at its 34 outlets in the Philippines. Army is a nod to the fanbase of South Korean boyband BTS. Paboritos means 'favourite' in Filipino. Some of the dishes that J-Hope savoured - sisig ($22), garlic rice ($7) and halo-halo ($18) - are also available at Hayop, which made its debut here in July 2024. Ms Abba Napa, co-founder of The Moment Group which runs Manam and Hayop, says: 'We've been overwhelmed by the love we've been getting. 'Our guests have been sharing their meals and ube shakes all over Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter. Seeing all the posts and stories has truly warmed our hearts.'
