Darksiders 4 was not on my 2025 bingo card
Darksiders 4 is officially coming. During the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase on Friday, we got a glimpse at the next game in the hack and slash action-adventure franchise, alongside trailers for roughly a dozen other games that are in the works, including Reanimal and The Eternal Life of Goldman. It's been a while since we've seen a new mainline Darksiders title from developer Gunfire Games, and while the fourth entry follows 2019's prequel, Darksiders Genesis, the announcement says it will "continue where the original Darksiders game left off." Darksiders 4 features all four Horsemen, and you'll get to choose which one to play as. It features "combat, traversal and puzzle solving in a lore rich post apocalyptic world." The teaser doesn't give us much information beyond that and there's no release date just yet, but we do know it'll be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. If you missed the showcase, you can catch up here on everything that was announced (like that new Spongebob game). And according to THQ Nordic, that's only half of what it has up its sleeve. At the end of the showcase, the publisher said a total of 28 games are currently in development, with 15 we still have yet to see.

PS5, PS4 Possibly Getting Beloved PS2 Platformer
Thanks to Super Mario 64, Crash Bandicoot, and other mascot platformers from the Nintendo 64 and PS1 era, the featured a plethora of third-party 3D platformers. Many have returned to modern platforms, with the latest coming from THQ Nordic. Originally developed by Eurocom and published by THQ (now THQ Nordic), it seems the 2003 PS2 platformer is coming to PS4 and PS5 soon. As reported by Gematsu, PS4 trophies for the game have surfaced, which means it's only a matter of time before the demigod returns to a PlayStation platform. More importantly, it has a Platinum! An HD port of Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy was released back in 2019 for PC and Nintendo Switch. As it has yet to be formally announced, it is not yet known if this new PS4 and PS5 version is that 2019 port or if it's an emulated version of the original PS2 game. 'Sphinx and The Cursed Mummy is an original 3rd person action-adventure inspired by the mythology of ancient Egypt,' reads the description for Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy. 'Travelling the world via magical portals to foil the evil plans of Set. Sphinx's Journey will require all his wits, agility, and special powers. He will also rely on his reluctant hero friend, The Mummy, to help when being inconspicuous is the only solution. By finding the stolen magical crowns of Egypt, Sphinx can stop Set and save the world.' Back when Sphinx and the Cursed Mumm launched for PS2 in 2003, it was received decently. According to review aggregate site Metacritic, it received an average score of 78 across 28 critic reviews. This is far from the first time THQ Nordic has rereleased one of its 3D platformers. Just last year, the company released Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, a remaster of the cult classic Disney platformer starring the titular Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.
