Citaglobal appoints Sultan of Pahang's son to board
KUALA LUMPUR: Citaglobal Bhd has appointed Tengku Arif Bendahara Tengku Muhammad Iskandar Ri'ayatuddin Shah as its independent and non-executive director, it said in a bourse filing today.
Tengku Arif Bendahara, 27, is the son of Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, who is also a significant shareholder in Citaglobal with a 9.5 per cent stake.
The largest stake in the company, 30.9 per cent, is held by TIZA Global Sdn Bhd, a private entity fully controlled by Citaglobal's executive chairman and president Tan Sri Mohamad Norza Zakaria.
Tengku Arif Bendahara attended the Caldicott Preparatory School in Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom from 2007 to 2010, and continued his A Levels in Harrow School in London.
In 2015 to 2018, he pursued his degree in international business management at Oxford Brookes University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from University of Buckingham.
In 2015, Tengku Arif Bendahara completed a placement at the Institute of Strategic and International Studies Malaysia, focusing on economics, trade, and regional integration, while also gaining exposure to social policy, national integration and foreign policy.
Citaglobal's share price closed 0.59 per cent or half a sen lower to 84 sen today, valuing the group at RM359.55 million.
