The exam schedule of the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET 2025) has been postponed. As per the revised schedule, Paper I and Paper II will now be conducted on November 15 and 16, 2025. Earlier, the tests were scheduled for November 1 and 2, 2025. Here's the revised exam schedule. Eligible candidates, who wish to teach Classes 1 to 5 can appear for Paper I, whereas Paper II is for Classes 6 to 8. The registrations are underway at until September 8, 2025. Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. The final section, carrying 60 marks, will vary based on the subject the candidate intends to teach. For mathematics and science teachers, it will consist of mathematics and science questions; for social science teachers, it will focus on social science; and for any other subject teachers, they can choose either mathematics and science or social science.
