Rankings update: Where Auburn basketball sits in national polls at 2024-25 season's end

Auburn basketball turned in a banner campaign for the 2024-25 season. It's set to quite literally hang at least two of them, one for its SEC championship and another for its Final Four appearance, and the national rankings reflect that caliber of success. Advertisement The Tigers held firm in both the USA TODAY Coaches and AP Top 25 polls Tuesday, the final listings of the season, coming in at No. 4 nationally. FULL RANKINGS: See the final USA TODAY Coaches Poll for the 2024-25 season here. The Tigers received 689 points in the Coaches Poll, a handful shy of being the fourth team to register 700 points. They sit behind Florida, Houston and Duke, respectively, which they faced during their regular season. They also made the trip to San Antonio and the Final Four alongside each. It comes after the Tigers took on a gauntlet of a schedule and found loads of success. Their 13-game nonconference slate included five ranked opponents and a single loss, to eventual Final Four squad Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Advertisement Their SEC slate was standard, with 18 games and home-and-home matchups against Alabama, Georgia and Ole Miss. However, the league had its best season ever, with 14 members making the NCAA Tournament. Auburn played the 13 it could, going 15-3 against the league with wins against 11 of the 13 it played. While Auburn faltered late in its season, losing three of its last four games heading into the NCAA Tournament, it made the run it hoped for, beating Alabama State, Creighton, Michigan and Michigan State en route to its second Final Four ever.
