Peace programme inspires NOFTA's elderly to find calm
NOFTA is helping its elderly residents discover personal peace through the Peace Education Programme launched last month.
84 guests attended the session, where it was said that the concept will, hopefully, cause a ripple effect of positivity on global harmony.
The team, comprising Pravin Vadher, Umesh Jivan, Vinay Vadher, and Nirana Jivan, was joined remotely by Dr Kay Maharaj (Durban) and Mukesh Parbhoo (Johannesburg).
The presentation included video excerpts from internationally acclaimed author and speaker, Prem Rawat, whose powerful insights resonated strongly with NOFTA members.
Following the positive reception of the introductory session, NOFTA has invited the Peace Education team to roll out the full programme for its members.
Participants have already expressed enthusiasm about continuing the journey toward inner peace.
Each participant will receive a certificate upon completion of the programme. About the Peace Education Programme
The Peace Education Programme is a video-based workshop series designed to help individuals discover their inner strength and personal peace.
It encourages reflection on themes such as choice, hope, and dignity. Rather than defining personal peace, the programme empowers participants to develop their own understanding.
It has been implemented successfully in community centres, schools, universities, healthcare facilities, senior centres, homeless shelters, rehabilitation clinics, and correctional institutions.
The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) makes the programme materials freely available to volunteers and organisations, offering access in over 84 countries and 40 languages.
