Singer James Bay tells his Scottish fans THIS during his TRNSMT set
Singer James Bay told his Scottish fans, 'when you sing, it sounds beautiful,' during his storming set at TRNSMT music festival, which officially kicked off today.
The flattery got him everywhere from the get-go as the crowd sang in unison to his hits If You Ever Want to Be in Love and Us - and it did sound beautiful.
The 34-year-old then beamed: 'That's the TRNSMT festival I know, yes.'

The atmosphere ramped up further for the 2014 hit Let It Go as his vocals sent goosebumps through the festival site.
The star admitted that he last played the festival in 2018, and judging by the reaction from the crowd, TRNSMT had waited too long for that Bay magic.
His voice is incredible. Raspy, soulful, and packed with prowess, it's unmistakable.

Wearing his signature hat, he said: 'How you doing? Really good to be here. Thanks for having us back!'
But it was the fans who were thankful as they took in the best of his back catalogue including Up All Night, Peer Pressure, and Pink Lemonade.

Finishing off in style with the smash hit Hold Back the River, he signed off, "Cheers, everyone! Have an amazing weekend, thank you so much."
Bay has officially set the standard high for the TRNSMT main stage.
