'The tow operator was heading to the GTA to pick up a vehicle and bring it back to Quebec. That requires the company to have a proper Ontario Tow Licence to operate legally in Ontario,' police said in a post on X. The operator now faces a $365 fine under the Towing and Storage Safety Enforcement Act (TSSEA). The truck will also be impounded for one week. The company was not identified.
