Special Screenings of Documentaries by Directors from BRICS+ Countries to Be Held in Moscow
Yara Sameh On 23 August, the All-Russian State Library for Foreign Literature named after M. I. Rudomino will host the third annual All-Russian Film Night event, according to TV BRICS. There will be special screenings of documentaries in Russian provided by the TV BRICS International Media Network, a partner of the library. The programme will begin with the TV BRICS production " Partitura. Young Music of Russia " (Russia, 2025, directed by Ivan Zakharenko). This film tells the story of the 3rd All-Russian Competition for Young Composers "Partitura" and how music can bring people together in an international cultural context. The film aims to raise the prestige of the profession of composer and highlight Russia's achievements in promoting and supporting new musical talent. Visitors will also be able to see the film "Discovering Ofala: Umudioka 2023" (Nigeria, 2023, directed by Tochukwu Nwaiwu). The film will immerse viewers in the world of the traditions of the Nigerian Igbo people and introduce them to the ceremony of conferring the status of Igwe chief, which is awarded to people who have distinguished themselves through public achievements. "This film is for those who live outside the south-eastern region of Nigeria. It helps to understand our way of life. For us, the Igbo people, it is an opportunity to accept and realise our identity" Nwaiwu said. Another film that will be presented during the special screenings is 'Festival del Caribe. Fiesta del Fuego' ("Caribbean Festival: Festival of Fire", Cuba, 2024, directed by Enrique Fumero). The documentary focuses on a large-scale festival of culture and traditions of the Caribbean peoples, held in the city of Santiago de Cuba. The programme also includes the film "Therukoothu" (India, 2025, directed by Vijay Bhaskaran). Created by students, the film immerses viewers in the world of South Indian folk street theatre. Colourful costumes, dynamic scenes and emotional expressiveness make this film not just a story about art, but a real journey into the soul of traditional theatre. Screenings will take place from 15:00 to 17:30 (GMT+3). The BRICS+ Information and Cultural Media Centre was established by the All-Russian State Library for Foreign Literature and TV BRICS International Media Network in October 2024 . Malaysia's national news agency Bernama joins TV BRICS media network
Malaysia's national news agency, Bernama, has joined the TV BRICS International Media Network, signing a cooperation agreement at the 28th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). The agreement on joint work was signed by Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin, CEO of Bernama, and Ivan Polyakov, Chairman of TV BRICS. The partnership is aimed at strengthening media ties between BRICS and ASEAN countries and contributing to an objective international agenda. The cooperation will give Malaysia access to news from other countries from primary media sources and allow it to promote its own content abroad. 'Apart from providing services to its clients using wires, Bernama also provides news broadcasts through its own BERNAMA radio and television channel, which operates 24 hours a day as well as its social media platforms,' said Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin, CEO of Bernama. 'Bernama prioritises collaboration with international news agencies to ensure that its content can reach audiences on various platforms at the regional and global levels. This partnership reflects Bernama's ongoing commitment to building an international media network that supports balanced reporting, promotes intercultural dialogue and expands its reach to the BRICS region and beyond.' Bernama was established in 1968 and its headquarters are in Kuala Lumpur. The agency, which includes the portal, the 24-hour Bernama TV channel and BERNAMA radio, specialises in socio-economic and political topics and is a main source of information in Malaysia. It operates in Malay, English, Chinese, Tamil, Arabic, and Spanish, and has a network of partners across ASEAN, Asia, Europe and the United States. 'The TV BRICS International Media Network supports and regularly covers Malaysia's active participation in organisations such as ASEAN and BRICS. We also note the important contribution of Bernama News Agency in promoting the potential of Malaysia and ASEAN countries in the global information space,' said Ivan Polyakov, Chairman of TV BRICS. 'I am confident that the information partnership between Bernama and TV BRICS will contribute to further rapprochement between the peoples of our countries in the interests of global stability, the development of multilateral cooperation in the field of culture, sustainable economy, scientific, and industrial cooperation.' Malaysia is the 27th country to officially join the international information exchange through TV BRICS, and the media network's information presence now reaches more than 80 countries. In May 2025, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim gave an exclusive interview to the TV BRICS International Media Network at the 16th International Economic Forum 'Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum.'

TV BRICS signs pact to promote Russian farm exports in BRICS+ countries
The TV BRICS International Media Network has signed an agreement with a Russian state agency to support the promotion of Russian agro-industrial products in the foreign markets of BRICS+ countries. The cooperation agreement was signed by Ivan Polyakov, chairman of TV BRICS, and Ilya Ilyushin, director of the Federal Centre for Agricultural Export Development (Agroexport), at the 28th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. According to the agreement, the joint activities will aim to build a positive image of Russia's agricultural sector in the global information space. This will involve showcasing national industry-leading companies, promoting Russian products abroad, and involving agricultural and processing enterprises in export activities. 'Media play an important role in supporting Russia's agro-industrial complex, helping to promote products in foreign markets and form a positive image of the industry. Today we face a crucial task – to develop a global dialogue among friendly nations,' said Ilya Ilyushin, head of Agroexport. 'I am confident that cooperation with TV BRICS will enable us to promptly deliver all necessary information about the development of trade relations among BRICS countries to a multibillion audience.' Ivan Polyakov of TV BRICS emphasised that food security and the sustainable development of agriculture are a priority for the network's agenda, as they align with the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals. The network cited its series of television films, 'Agroparallels,' produced with its Brazilian partner Agro+ TV and dedicated to agricultural cooperation between the two countries, as an example of its work in this area. Polyakov also announced the upcoming premiere in 2025 of a new television project, 'BRICS GRAIN,' which will focus on sustainable agricultural development, support for agricultural diplomacy, and strengthening cooperation between Russia and countries of the Global South and East. Agroexport, established by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, is a centre for expertise in agricultural exports. It coordinates and monitors the implementation of the federal project 'Agro-Industrial Exports' and cooperates with regional agricultural bodies to develop Russia's export potential. The centre provides analysis of foreign markets, assesses trade barriers, and assists Russian exporters in obtaining information and building direct communication with international buyers of Russian agricultural products.

Over 30 countries to convene in Russia for 'Digitalisation of Industrial Russia' Conference
Moscow [Russia], June 5 (ANI): Nizhny Novgorod is set to host the anniversary edition of the 'Digitalisation of Industrial Russia' (CIPR) conference from June 2 to 8, bringing together delegates from over 30 countries. Supported by the TV BRICS International Media Network as an official information partner, the high-level event will focus on enhancing cooperation in digital transformation and industrial innovation. Among the confirmed participants are representatives from China, India, Cuba, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Indonesia, and Argentina, among others. The CIPR-2025 business agenda includes bilateral panel discussions and international sessions held in partnership with the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO). Experts will exchange insights on deploying digital technologies across industrial sectors and enhancing global supply chains. Co-founder and Director of CIPR, Olga Piven, described the platform as a key gateway for both Russian and international companies. 'This was the goal we set for ourselves several years ago, and we are now seeing tangible results. This year, we observe tremendous interest from foreign partners and see strong potential for the development of cooperation and further integration at a global level. We will continue to expand international partnerships with countries of the Global South and BRICS,' she said. A showcase of cutting-edge innovation is also on the cards. China will present breakthroughs in 5G, artificial intelligence, digital twins, and eco-friendly chemical industry tech. India will highlight advanced software tools for patent and scientific data analysis. Belarus will unveil technologies for the social and energy sectors, while Cuban firms will showcase solutions in e-commerce, metrology, and aviation security. Russian IT firms will also demonstrate their latest projects. Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, noted, 'In addition, we are strengthening the educational agenda - CIPR will host the awards ceremony for the winners of the international IT Olympiad, which we organised together with the Republic of Cuba.' On June 5 and 6, the Global Digital Forum will further amplify discussions on tech partnerships, reinforcing CIPR's role as a vital platform shaping the shared digital future. (ANI)
