Ben Feldman Warns His Ghosts Character ‘Sparks Conflict' for Sam and Jay — Watch Exclusive Sneak Peek

Superstore vet Ben Feldman can see spirits during this week's Ghosts, and while that's a big relief for Sam, it will cause major tension between her and hubby Jay. As TVLine exclusively reported, Feldman guest-stars in this Thursday's episode (airing at 8:30/7:30c on CBS) as Kyle, a handsome living who shares Sam's special ability. He first arrives at Woodstone B&B after he's 'almost, in a way, abducted by Pete,' Feldman tells TVLine with a laugh. During their first meeting, Pete is surprised to find that Kyle can hear and see him, but Kyle's a bit more blasé about the discovery. 'You sort of get a taste for how he feels about ghosts. He's a little eye-rolly about them, just kind of annoyed,' Feldman says. 'When you really think about it, if this was something that you were burdened with your whole life, this would just take over absolutely everything about every moment of your day and would be exhausting and an impossible thing to navigate. So I think, with that backdrop, it's perfectly reasonable that Kyle would then go home with this guy, with a chance to finally meet somebody else who has the same curse as him.' Sam, too, is thrilled to find another person who can understand her power, split up ghost duties with her and take part in her inside jokes. But as Sam and Kyle spend more time together, having someone else share in the same gift/burden becomes 'confusing, especially for [Sam],' Feldman previews. 'She's got her whole life, and she's got her people, and she's got her man, and I'm just this single thing that waltzes in,' Feldman explains. 'I think when you feel like you're the only person on Earth who has something big, something that kind of colors every corner of your life, and then you find one other person on Earth who shares that, I feel like some confusing feelings would arise.' Meanwhile, Jay is understandably 'hesitant' about the newcomer in his wife's life. 'He's not, like, the jealous type or whatever, but there is someone coming in and sharing with her something he could never share and something that she's always, probably secretly, wished he could have,' Feldman says. 'If he starts to feel a little standoffish, I think it's reasonable.' So just how much trouble will Kyle's introduction cause for the happily married couple? 'I think someone else coming in with that curse or power and sharing that with her, it's either a serious threat or it's going to appear as one, and either one of those things sparks conflict,' Feldman teases. One thing Kyle and Sam do not share is how they got their unique ability: 'He got Fabio'd, and I'll leave it at that,' Feldman hints, but TVLine can reveal the bizarre origin story in the above exclusive sneak peek. Feldman is the fifth Superstore alum to visit Ghosts, following Betsy Sodaro (who plays basement ghost Nancy), Nichole Sakura (aka car ghost Jessica), Kaliko Kauahi (who guest-starred in a Season 2 episode) and Irene White (aka big-box store ghost Gloria). The actor wasn't aware of that fact before taking on the role, but he's not entirely taken aback by the factoid. 'There's some traces of DNA between the shows. I mean, one of their producers was a Superstore director, one of their writers was one of our writers,' Feldman says. Plus, 'these guys feel like they're in our world of comedy, so it doesn't surprise me that it's attracted a lot of the Superstore moths to the Ghosts flame.' fans, are you excited for Feldman's guest spot? Ghosts' Román Zaragoza Ponders How Sasappis Died: ‘I Want It to Be Something Really Embarrassing'

And then there was one: Following Ghosts' reveal last season about how Hetty died, Sasappis is the only spirit left whose demise remains a mystery. While his portrayer Román Zaragoza doesn't know when the CBS comedy will share the circumstances of Sas' death, he does have a request for how it should go. Matlock Left Matty and Olympia in a Very Surprising Place Ahead of 2-Hour Finale 'I keep thinking it'd be really funny [if it was] something, like, incredibly embarrassing,' the actor tells TVLine. 'Because Thor was kind of there, so maybe he knows. Like, he's hiding it. I don't know, but I want it to be something really embarrassing.' Zaragoza says he's had 'some conversations with some writers,' but the timing of the big reveal is 'very much up in the air.' 'They want to dive into it, but I think it's a slow burn,' Zaragoza explains. 'They don't want to show all the cards yet, because at this point, I think we know how every ghost died except for Sas, and we know all the powers, too. So I think they're trying to hold onto his death to be a bigger thing down the road. But I'm curious.' In addition to diving into Sas' death, Zaragoza has a few other items on his Season 5 wish list. (The series was picked up for two seasons in February.) 'Seeing more of his life could be really fun,' Zaragoza shares. 'I want to see more of him with his dad, would love to bring my dad [Gregory Zaragoza] back [as Sasappis' father], and would love to see more about who he was when he was alive, because he was a timid person. In that flashback with his father, we saw that he's kind of timid, and then him with Shiki, he's timid, and saying, 'Hi,' and, like, how did that come about? Who is he? Who was he when he was alive?' 'The more that we can see that, it translates into what's happening now,' Zaragoza continues. 'And then that would be really fun to see him with [new love interest] Joan, and to see how all these things are coming back, all these things he hasn't even thought about for the last 500 years because he's just been dead, and been living that kind of afterlife.' fans, what are your theories about how Sas died?
