Malayalam actress Anishma Anilkumar is making her Tamil debut with the film. The director informs us that she will also be dubbing for herself. Vikram Prabhu plays an armed reserve police officer named Kadhiravan who accompanies a suspect, played by LK Akshay Kumar, to the court in the social drama titled Sirai . Debut director Suresh Rajakumari, who previously worked as an assistant director to Vetri Maaran, says, 'The film follows the conversations of these two characters as they travel from jail to court. It's a story that happened in former policeman and Taanakkaran director Tamizh's life.' 'Tamizh couldn't direct the film, as he is working on Marshal with Karthi sir and therefore asked me whether I could helm it. I had stories in hand, but their scale was big, and they got delayed. So, when Tamizh offered me this film, I agreed,' he explains and further adds, 'We wanted to show the life of a police officer realistically without making it too commercial.' Karthi teams up with director Tamizh for powerful action drama ‘Marshal'
Actor Karthi, who recently impressed audiences with his performance in the rural family entertainer Sathyam Sundaram, is now gearing up for his 29th film, titled Marshal. This new venture marks his first collaboration with director Tamizh, celebrated for his critically acclaimed film Taanakkaran. The film is being produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu under the Dream Warrior Pictures banner, with Ishan Saksena joining as co-producer. The makers officially launched the film today with a traditional pooja ceremony, marking the beginning of its regular shoot. Alongside this, the striking title poster was also unveiled, capturing immediate attention. The poster shows Karthi standing with folded hands against a dramatic seascape, though his face is intentionally hidden—fueling speculation about the mysterious nature of his role. Kalyani Priyadarshan has been roped in as the female lead, while the ensemble cast features stalwarts like Sathyaraj, Prabhu, Lal, John Kokken, Easwari Rao, and Murali Sharma, promising a gripping mix of performances. After the emotional and heartfelt performance in 'Meiyazhagan', actor Karthi is teaming up with director Tamizh for his next outing, officially titled 'Marshal'.
