Brookfield egg hunt has grown in the past 20 years
BROOKFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – The Brookfield Police Department is preparing to host its annual Easter egg hunt this weekend.
Organizers have put together 127 baskets, plus other prizes for older children, for the event.
The egg hunt has grown since it started more than 20 years ago.
This year, it'll take place at the Township Community Park on Stewart-Sharon Road.
Organizers expect to have at least 200 children from the township participate on Saturday.
'This wouldn't have been possible without the donations we got this year. We got blown away with the amount of donations we got,' said Tabitha Dickson, office coordinator.
Children up to 12 years old can participate in the first hunt, which begins at 10 a.m. Kids ages 13 to 18 who are still in high school can take part in the second egg hunt at 11:30 a.m.
The event will take place rain or shine.
