El-Sisi praises Indian Bohra Community charitable projects in Egypt - Society
President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi praised on Monday the developmental and charitable projects sponsored by the Indian Bohra Community in Egypt, in collaboration with the Tahya Misr Fund, during a meeting with the community's Sultan Mufaddal Saifuddin in Cairo. President El-Sisi warmly welcomed Sultan Saifuddin as a cherished guest, highlighting the close historical ties between Egypt and the Bohra Community, the Egyptian presidency said. During the meeting, he expressed his deep appreciation for Sultan Saifuddin's role in restoring and renovating the shrines of Ahl Al-Bayt and several historical Egyptian mosques. 'These efforts align with the Egyptian state's broader goals of development and the revitalization of historic Cairo,' the Egyptian presidency said. For his part, Sultan Saifuddin expressed his deep gratitude for the warm welcome he consistently receives during his visits to Egypt and his special appreciation to President El-Sisi for his continued hospitality. He also commended the ongoing comprehensive development witnessed across various fields in Egypt, alongside the consolidation of the principles of tolerance and citizenship. The sultan of the Bohra Community also underscored Egypt's leading role in fostering security, stability, and peace in the region. He highlighted Egypt's tireless efforts to reduce regional tensions, particularly its initiative role in mediating a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The presidency added that Sultan Saifuddin's sons, Prince Ja'far El-Sadiq Imadduddin, Prince Taha Najmuddin, and Prince Husain Burhanuddin, along with the sultan's representative in Egypt, Mufaddal Mohammad, attended the meeting. The Bohras are a religious denomination within the Ismaili branch of Shia Islam. The largest Bohra communities exist in India, Pakistan, Yemen, East Africa, and the Middle East. Sultan Saifuddin has contributed to renovating and restoring many historic mosques in Egypt, including Al-Hussein, Al-Sayyeda Nafisa, and Al-Sayyeda Zeinab. Egypt Sends Reconstruction Equipment to Gaza
Various humanitarian aid convoys have also arrived at Rafah's logistics waiting area. Feb 18, 2025 Egypt began sending reconstruction equipment to Gaza through the Rafah border. Convoys carrying various forms of humanitarian aid, including food, medicine, and various forms of medical equipment, have recently arrived at the Egyptian side of the Rafah border, as part of an initiative by the Tahya Misr Fund. The Egyptian Red Crescent recently reported that trucks carrying humanitarian aid successfully arrived at Rafah's logistics waiting area, currently pending regulatory measures such as placing barcodes and classifying the aid to ensure their entry to respective parts of the Gaza Strip.

Egypt Delivers 7,200 Tonnes of Aid to Gaza for Ramadan
Implemented by the Tahya Misr Fund, the aid departed from People's Square in the New Administrative Capital. Feb 17, 2025 A large humanitarian aid convoy from Egypt has been launched to support the Gaza Strip, in preparation for the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan. The convoy consists of over 460 trucks, carrying over 7,200 tonnes of food and necessary supplies. Implemented by Tahya Misr Fund, the convoy departed from People's Square in the New Administrative Capital. The aid includes medical supplies, basic dry food items, as well as a variety of drinks, tents, clothes, quilts, blankets, carpets, personal hygiene materials and shelter bags.

152 humanitarian aid trucks enter Gaza Strip, Monday
CAIRO – 17 February 2025: Up to 152 aid trucks, including 13 fuel trucks, have entered Al-Auja and Kerem Shalom border crossings into the Gaza strip, Monday morning according to al Qahera news channel. Egypt launched on Sunday one of the largest aid convoys with more than 460 trucks carrying 7,200 tons of food, all necessary needs ، and medical supplies to reach the Gaza Strip, with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan due to start on March 1. Under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Tahya Misr Fund has prepared this convoy to reach the Gazans ahead of the Holy Month of Ramadan. The convoy moved from Al-Shaab Square in the New Administrative Capital and en route to Rafah, according to a statement released by the Egyptian Cabinet on Sunday. The convoy was provided with large quantities of tents capable of withstanding harsh weather conditions, and huge quantities of various clothes, to meet the needs of all age groups. In addition, the convoy included other relief supplies, such as quilts, blankets, and carpets, as well as personal hygiene items and shelter bags. This convoy is one of the largest aid convoys gathered from different governorates across Egypt. Tamer Abdel Fattah, executive director of the Tahya Misr Fund, confirmed that within the framework of cooperation with the Ministry of Local Development and the governorates, comprehensive humanitarian aid convoys have been prepared, and will be launched in three phases He clarified that the first phase has just been launched February 16 from the governorates of Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia, Matrouh, Suez, South Sinai, North Sinai, Ismailia, Sharkia, and New Valley. Meanwhile, the second phase includes the governorates of Alexandria, Beheira, Matrouh, Dakahlia, Damietta, Kafr El-Sheikh , Gharbia, and Menoufia.
