Yung Filly update sees star face two new sexual assault charges

In March, he pleaded not guilty to three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, one of strangulation and four counts of sexual penetration without consent. However, according to court documents filed on Friday, the YouTuber, 29, faces two new counts of sexual penetration without consent, and no plea has been entered for them. The incident is alleged to have taken place on 28 September. Filly had been touring Australia at the time of the alleged offences. Filly appeared at Perth Magistrates Court for an initial hearing on October 10, 2024 where he was granted conditional bail. The bail terms stated that he did not discuss the case on social media, or contact the alleged victim. The rapper appeared in Perth Magistrates Court for a second time on March 11, 2025, and pleaded not guilty to all charges. He was told to appear in the District Court of Western Australia on July 13. On June 13, two new charges of sexual penetration without consent were filed against Filly. During a court hearing in November, the British-Colombian saw his bail request put on hold until later that day. ABC Australia covered the story, noting that Perth barrister Seamus Rafferty SC is representing the entertainer. Rafferty commented on the denied bail, stating: "This has already made headlines. Given the nature of social media, the nature of people jumping on bandwagons, given the nature of (the) power imbalance between the parties." A TikTok video from Perth's Bar1 Nightclub went viral last year, showcasing Filly – who has appeared in Channel 4's The Great Celebrity Bake Off – performing at the venue. Meanwhile, in a sombre contrast, images depicting injuries allegedly sustained by a woman were presented to the court. "No ordinary person can consent in those circumstances," stated the prosecutor in reference to the gruesome photos, adding: "Across her body is a history of violent acts, ... we say those photos and what is alleged is beyond the pale, beyond what could be considered to be a consensual act." Filly, who was born in Colombia and moved to London aged two as a refugee with his mum and sister began his YouTube career in 2013 before releasing his debut single Take Time in 2017. He went onto host shows Hot Property and Don't Scream on BBC Three and has also appeared in Soccer Aid and The Great Stand Up to Cancer Bake Off. Filly's 10-day trial is scheduled to start on 20 July 2026.

He is required to post a $500,000 bond for his home and $200,000 in cash, NBC News reports. Turner, 62, was taken into custody and will remain there until her sentencing. The mother and son are scheduled to be sentenced on July 11. Each count carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. The pair was reportedly seen wiping away tears as the verdict was read on Friday. 'Protect my mother,' Kingston told U.S. Marshals as Turner was taken into custody, according to WPLG. Kingston, who did not testify during the trial, and Turner were convicted of defrauding a jewelry business, a luxury bed company, a high-end car dealership, and a TV installation company. Prosecutors said the total value of the items they obtained exceeded $1 million. The scheme spanned several years before being uncovered in March 2024. Kingston and Turner were arrested in May 2024 and made their first court appearance that July. Kingston first stormed onto the music scene as a teenager when his 'Beautiful Girls' single topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2007. His most recent album, Road to Deliverance, was released in 2022. Rapper Young Scooter Dies on 39th Birthday in Atlanta: Report
Young Scooter died Friday night (March 28) on the rapper's 39th birthday, according to a report in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and details from Atlanta Police. Atlanta Police Lt. Andrew Smith led a news conference late Friday night to share details about what reportedly led to the death of Young Scooter (real name: Kenneth Edward Bailey). According to Smith, police responded to a call about a dispute with a weapon at a home and then set up a perimeter outside the house after a man shut the door on officers. Two men fled from the rear of the house, Smith said, with one returning to the home and the other jumping two fences as he was fleeing. Atlanta Police say the man was taken to Grady Marcus Trauma Center and died there. During the news conference, Smith denied widespread reports spreading on social media that Scooter had been fatally shot by Atlanta PD officers. 'Just to be very clear, the injury that was sustained was not via the officers on scene. It was when the male was fleeing.' Young Scooter's peers mourned the late rapper on social media, with Playboi Carti sharing the news on Instagram Stories with the caption 'SMFH.' Quavo took to X with broken-heart and prayer-hands emojis, writing, 'ion understand,' alongside a video of Scooter performing. The late rapper's Instagram Stories shared dozens of posts wishing him a happy birthday throughout Friday. While Scooter was born in South Carolina, his family moved to Atlanta when he was just 9 years old, and his music career has been based in the rap mecca ever since. He broke out locally with the song 'Colombia' in 2012 before joining forces with hip-hop heavyweights Future, Juicy J and Young Thug for 'DI$Function' in 2014.
