Five-goal Fenerbahce rally past Feyenoord, Benfica on song
PARIS: Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce rallied past Dutch club Feyenoord on Tuesday to advance 6-4 on aggregate into the Champions League qualifying playoffs. Fenerbahce had lost 2-1 in the Netherlands last week and were a goal down in the second leg of the third qualifying round in Istanbul after Feyenoord defender Tsuyoshi Watanabe struck the first of his two goals on the night after 41 minutes for Robin van Persie's side. Al-Nassr announces transfer of Brazilian forward Talisca to Fenerbahçe
Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr confirmed on Tuesday the sale of Brazilian forward Anderson Talisca to Turkish Süper Lig side Fenerbahç announcement came a day after Fenerbahçe, managed by José Mourinho, revealed that they had reached an agreement to sign the 30-year-old joined Al-Nassr in 2021 from Guangzhou Evergrande in China and had extended his contract with the Saudi club in 2023 to run until a statement posted on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, Al-Nassr said, "The club has completed the transfer of Anderson Talisca to Fenerbahçe." The club also shared a video featuring Talisca's highlights with the team and wrote, "Thank you, Talisca."Fenerbahçe, in their statement, announced, "We have reached an agreement to sign Anderson Talisca. The player and his family have been invited to Istanbul for medical examinations and to finalize negotiations."The Turkish club shared photos of Talisca's arrival, where he was greeted by fans, holding a jersey with the number his tenure with Al-Nassr, Talisca made 104 appearances, scoring 76 goals and providing 10 assists. However, this season he managed only eight goals—two in the AFC Champions League and the rest in the Saudi Pro previously played for Beşiktaş in Turkey on loan from 2016 to 2018, winning the Süper Lig title in the 2016-2017 season and earning the league's Best Player currently sits second in the Süper Lig standings with 48 points, trailing league leaders Galatasaray by six points after 20 matches. Meanwhile, Al-Nassr is in fourth place in the Saudi Pro League with 35 points, eight points behind the leaders. The club has been linked with potential transfers, including Aston Villa striker Jhon Durán and Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface, during the ongoing transfer window.
