Delays on Auckland's Tamaki Drive after cyclist critically injured
There were delays on Tamaki Drive in Parnell. (File photo) Photo: 123RF A cyclist has been critically injured after an incident on a busy inner Auckland road. Police said emergency services were at the scene of an "incident" on Tamaki Drive, Parnell, after a cyclist was injured just before 3pm. Shortly before 4pm they had left. Traffic heading away from the city, towards Ngapipi Rd, was blocked for a short time while emergency services were at the scene, a spokesperson said. "Please expect delays this afternoon, or take an alternative route if possible." No vehicles had been involved in the incident, police said. Man dies after falling from boat in central Auckland marina

Police said emergency services were called to the scene on Tamaki Drive in Parnell, about 3.35pm. The man had been pulled from the water, after falling from a boat. He could not be revived and died at the scene. Police said his death would be referred to the coroner.
