Tammy Hembrow slammed by animal activists for 'cruel' act in Egypt after trying to cover it up on social media
Tammy Hembrow is taking the heat after she rode a camel in Egypt and attempted to cover it up. The influencer, 31, enjoyed a trip hosted by Aweventurer last week and was spotted riding on the back of a camel in a number of photos and videos posted by other travellers on the tour. However, she hid the snaps from her own page. Now, animal activists are up in arms over the move and calling for accountability from the Saski activewear founder. Instagram page @warriorforanimals has commented on a number of posts by the Aussie content creator and has been vocal about the abuse suffered by camels in Egypt's tourism industry. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'I am an animal rights campaigner and am deeply disappointed @tammyhembrow rode abused camels,' he wrote in a post shared to Instagram. 'I am glad the post has been removed but more needs to be done against exploitation in tourism.' The animal rights campaigner went on to leave a comment on one of Tammy's Egypt posts, writing: 'I'm politely asking if you can do your bit to end the exploitation of animals in tourism. 'I've been supporting you for a long time even praising you for advocating for eating more plant based foods in 2020 to help the environment and of [course] animal welfare. Fans also flooded the comments section of the fit-fluencer's posts with criticism over the act. 'How about don't torture animals and don't ride a camel?!! Can't believe its even on the program,' one person angrily wrote. 'Do you have any idea how they are being treated and how exhausted they are from all the moronic tourists exploiting them for no f***ing reason.' Another chimed in with a similar sentiment, adding: 'Please leave animals and carriage rides out of your plans. Very cruel would never visit a country with such lack for empathy or regulations on animal welfare.' 'Update: we have taken on feedback and removed the camel riding from the itinerary,' the tour company wrote in the comments. This isn't the only criticism fans have had over the social media star's trip to Egypt. Tammy was slammed by her followers last week after she shared the very chic outfits she wore during her lavish trip to Egypt, where modest attire is considered the cultural norm. However, some fans have taken exception to Tammy's desert ensembles, which often see her flashing her tattooed arms and midriff as she wears a headscarf. 'Pretty sure this is cultural appropriation cause you're not wearing that scarf to cover your body,' someone wrote beneath one of her many posts. 'A holiday to Egypt, while half naked, is possibly one the most time [sic] deaf things I've ever seen,' said another. 'Your choice of clothing is actually quite offensive to the locals Your travel advisor should have told you about local etiquette,' a third commented. Another said beneath a photo of Tammy flashing her toned tummy in a crop top: 'I didn't know they let u show ur stomach in Egypt' 'I didn't know they let u show ur stomach in Egypt,' another said beneath a photo of Tammy flashing her toned tummy in a crop top. 'No hate but I'd have thought showing a lot of skin in a majority Muslim country would be considered disrespectful?' noted one user. Tammy also posted a reel of photos which saw her stripping down to a bikini and flaunted her figure as she lounged by the pool at her resort. 'I'm sure that what you are wearing is not suitable for Egypt,' someone said beneath the post. But Tammy assured her followers she was staying at a hotel which allowed her to wear a bikini at the beach and by the pool. 'We were told it's fine. People can wear bikinis at beach/pool,' she wrote.

Fans call out Tammy Hembrow as she slams 'creepy' overnight train in Egypt she says 'smelled bad': 'So humble when millionaires travel like us'
Tammy Hembrow has been slammed by fans after she complained about a 'creepy' overnight sleeper train she caught during her lavish holiday in Egypt. The fitness influencer, 31, shared a video of her room to TikTok on Tuesday, documenting her subpar experience as she travelled from Cairo to Aswan. But while the online star blasted the train for 'smelling bad' and looking 'scary', fans flocked to the comments to call out the millionaire for her privilege. 'It was unlike anything I have ever done. I was not expecting it to be like this,' Tammy, who was travelling as part of her girls' retreat, said of the train. 'We thought it would be a fun Egyptian experience to do an overnight sleeper train from Cairo to Aswan, which is like 13 hours. You sleep on the train overnight.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. She continued: 'What we didn't know is what the train actually looked like and would be like... It was definitely an experience. Not one I would like to have again.' Footage of the train saw Tammy and her friends sleeping in small single-bed cabins which contained old, thin mattresses, a chair, a sink and a tray to eat food from. Tammy, who is used to travelling in complete luxury, attempted to have a positive outlook on the budget train, saying: 'It's all part of the experience.' However, she had a few nice things to say about her room, which she said 'smelled really bad' and was too 'small'. 'We couldn't stop giggling at the whole situation because we were not expecting it at all... I felt really bad because I brought all these girls and made them go on the train. 'Some of the windows were broken. There were scary doorways and things like that... The tables for our dinner, they pick them up off the floor and put them in [the wall].' Tammy went on to slam the dinner she was served—rice and meat skewers—saying she 'didn't know what to say' about it and that she 'didn't eat it'. 'I don't turn down food, but I actually couldn't eat it,' she said. But while the online star blasted the train for 'smelling bad' and looking 'scary', fans flocked to the comments to call-out the millionaire for her privilege 'We did have a bottle of wine so that did help because we were actually all scared none of us were going to be able to sleep because we were all creeped out.' While Tammy went on to compliment the 'lovely' staff members and the 'pretty view', she said she would never catch a sleeper train in Egypt again. Fans then called out the millionaire in the comments, saying the 'small' room was actually a 'luxury' for those who don't have thousands to splash on holidays. 'So humble when millionaires travel like us,' one person wrote, while another said: 'I must be broke cause I don't even think that train room looks bad.' 'Sadly enough that train situation is luxury for so many who don't have much,' another began. 'Just puts things into perspective and makes you realise how lucky we truly are. Especially for those who live in tents and bombs are raining down on them.' 'Were you expecting the orient express,' said another, as someone else agreed, writing: 'Tammy out here thinking she booked the polar express.' 'Girl those rooms look FINE! Perspective is funny hey,' another commented. One user from Egypt added: 'This is luxury for our people! Welcome to our world ahah embrace the beauty & chaos!' 'I know this experience humbled you,' one follower wrote. Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Tammy for comment. Tammy is currently enjoying a luxury holiday in Egypt without her husband Matt Zukowski, who has chosen to stay home in Australia amid split rumours. The Love Island star and influencer have been the target of speculation for weeks as they continue to spend time apart without wearing their wedding rings. Sources close to the couple last month told Daily Mail Australia the pair had quietly split, with Matt relocating back to Melbourne. 'Matt and Tammy are on a break. They're not saying it's over for good, but for now they're taking time apart,' the insider revealed. 'They're both emotional people, and they've decided to put their marriage on pause for now.' Tammy and Matt began dating in mid-2023, after Matt slid into her DMs, and were engaged just three months later. They tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at Chateau Du Soleil in Byron Bay in November.

Inside Tammy Hembrow's sister Emilee's luxurious dream home renovation
Influencer Emilee Hembrow has taken to social media to update followers on her Gold Coast 'dream home' renovation. The 33-year-old, who is the sister of TikTok star and fitness influencer Tammy Hembrow, is building a lavish two-storey mansion on the site of her old waterfront pad. In the update, the entrepreneur and businesswoman said that construction is well underway on the property which features a Mediterranean-inspired design. Emilee said that her plans for the build have changed so much that what started as an upgrade has turned into a major demolition. 'It is our old house but we have ended up knocking down most of it,' Emilee explained in the video she shared online. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. She added that what remains of the former home is just 'a couple of frames'. 'So it's turned into pretty much a new build. Reno plans changed real quick,' she said. Six weeks ago, Emilee launched a separate Instagram account to detail the building of her dream home, which she has called Saray, which means 'palace' in Turkish. Pictures and video loaded to the account show designer illustrations featuring a chic kitchen with a butler's pantry and a large breakfast bar. There is also a designer illustration of the street view of the house, which shows plans for manicured garden features and a paved entryway. Emilee's other plans include an entertainment area with a built-in BBQ kitchen, a fire pit and a pool. She also plans to install a sauna, shower and ice bath as part of a private 'wellness' area. Posting to her Instagram page last week Emilee shared more details about her renovation build. 'We have decided to go with Ocean Blue Travertine as our natural stone instead of the original choice, Viola Calcutta,' she said. Emilee is constructing the new home alongside interior designers Dezcon and Concept Design Construct builders. Tammy Hembrow and her sisters have long been called 'The Australian Kardashians'. And now the genetically blessed siblings have teased the possibility of starring in their very own reality show, just like their American counterparts, who rose to fame in Keeping Up With The Kardashians and various spin-offs. The Gold Coast family, which includes fitness influencer Tammy, 30, as well as Emilee, and Amy, 34, said they'd be game for a show of their own. 'If we did anything, it would be obviously, like, real,' Tammy told the Daily Telegraph last month. 'I feel like it's not something we wouldn't do, let's just leave it at that … stay tuned' she teased. Amy agreed with her younger sister: 'It would have to be right and it would have to be authentic to us. 'We wouldn't want it to be drama focused and you know like what a lot of stuff is out there.' Emilee additionally teased: 'It is not off the books.' It comes after the trio announced an exciting new career venture exploring the world of health supplements. The sisters recently created an Instagram account for their new business, Selfish Supps, which is a range of sports nutrition products.

Tammy Hembrow takes a tumble in Egypt as her husband Matt Zukowski seemingly confirms he's not there
Tammy Hembrow is enjoying a holiday in Egypt but her husband Matt Zukowski has seemingly confirmed he's not on the trip. The fitness influencer, 31, has been posting several glam selfies to Instagram while exploring the ancient city. On Monday, Tammy shared a video as she visited a historic site while Matt watched Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning at the movies. In her post, the mother-of-three took a tumble while walking along a stone path with her friend Hannah. Matt, 29, shared a separate post to his page which showed him going to the movies solo to watch Tom Cruise 's new film in Australia. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The Love Island star and fitness influencer have been the target of break-up rumours for weeks as they appear to spend time apart, with Tammy frequently seen without her wedding ring on. Matt recently hit back at claims he apparently did not attend the birthday party of his stepson Wolf - or send him any well-wishes - further fuelling rumours he has split with his wife Tammy. Tammy recently shared a gallery of precious photos to social media which captured the birthday party she hosted for her 10-year-old son. While many of her family and friends were in attendance at the get together, Tammy's husband Matt was seemingly nowhere in sight. Although Matt did not publicly comment any birthday wishes to his stepson he may have done something for him in private. Fans took to Reddit to question Matt's apparent absence and ask why he didn't appear to wish his stepson a happy birthday. 'He'll dedicate a post to his sisters dog, but not his wife's son. Sorry, I can't call him a stepdad,' one fan ranted, referring to Matt's Instagram post that showed him in Melbourne posing with the pooch. 'Such a bizarre marriage. Who spends this much time apart after only a few months?' a second person asked. Meanwhile a third person shared a screenshot of a public chat they had with Matt on Instagram, in which they asked him why he didn't attend his stepson's party. 'Why aren't you in Queensland for your stepson's 10th birthday? No hate, just genuinely curious,' they asked in the since-deleted exchange. 'These photos were taken four weeks ago. Focus on your own life,' Matt replied. 'Way to be rude when I was just being polite!' the user retorted. Sources close to the couple have confirmed to Daily Mail Australia the pair have quietly split, with Matt relocating back to Melbourne. 'Matt and Tammy are on a break. They're not saying it's over for good, but for now they're taking time apart,' the insider revealed. 'They're both emotional people, and they've decided to put their marriage on pause for now.' The reality star has notably avoided addressing his relationship status with Tammy, who was seen living her best life during her birthday festivities on the Gold Coast. The fitness mogul shared several glamorous snaps from her big day, including photos of her decadent cake, extravagant floral arrangements and gifts—but her husband was nowhere to be seen. Tammy and Matt began dating in mid-2023, after Matt slid into her DMs, and were engaged just three months later. They tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at Chateau Du Soleil in Byron Bay in November.
