Boots stocking 'delicious' plant protein powder to help women 'strengthen and tone' muscle

Tammy Hembrow, Emilee Hembrow and Amy Hembrow are three Australian sisters who have made a name for themselves as fitness and wellness influencers - and they've just launched a new supplement range exclusive to Boots Fitness isn't always just about hitting the gym or what we eat. Supplements and protein powders have long been popular with health buffs, but finding formulas that specifically support women's exercise routines, fitness goals, and general wellbeing has previously proven difficult. However, a new female-founded fitness brand has just launched at Boots , making products designed by women, for women, more accessible. Aussie influencers, the Hembrow sisters - Tammy, Emilee, and Amy - have made a worldwide name for themselves in the fitness, wellness, and motherhood spheres, with their brand Selfish, now available on the high street. Selfish markets itself as innovative sports nutrition for genuine women living real lives. Every item aims to assist women with their health and fitness journey, with protein being a cornerstone product in the fresh collection, featuring a Give Me Protein Water - which eliminates the hassle (and chaos) of thick protein shakes. Internationally celebrated fitness personality Tammy explained the brand's philosophy, saying: "Fitness isn't just about hitting PBs or dropping dress sizes. It's about showing up for you." The refreshing and rapidly-absorbed vegan Give Me Protein Water provides a moisturising hit of broken-down plant protein for strength building, muscle definition and recovery. Offered in VeryBerry and Tropical Crush varieties, the 300g container supplies 15 portions, reports Wales Online. This product is acclaimed for promoting muscle tone, strength and repair, as well as fulfilling daily protein requirements. It offers a comprehensive amino acid profile, featuring lean hydrolysed plant protein in a non-gritty, rapidly-absorbing formula. Another protein offering, Give Me Plant Protein, priced at £24.65, is characterised as a luxurious, smooth vegan protein powder that delivers 20g of lean plant protein per serving. Available in French Vanilla and Rich Chocolate flavours, it's designed to assist women with strength, toning, and post-exercise recovery. For best results, users simply blend or shake one scoop into 250ml of water and consume post-workout, or whenever a protein boost is required. For those exploring alternatives to mainstream brands, the Impact Whey Protein Powder from My Protein is priced at £13.99. It comes in various flavours and provides a significant 23g of protein per scoop. There's also the Wellwoman Vitabiotics Wellwoman 50+ 30 Tablets available at Holland and Barrett for £10.49. This is an excellent choice for vegetarians looking to support their brain, heart, and vision health. The Selfish brand boasts an impressive 4.9 out of five star review score on its website. As one reviewer noted: "I have tried so many gut powders and they all taste so gross. I have been taking this for the last week and am obsessed with the flavour. It's also really helped with my bloating. Love it." Another said: "As someone who has tried a lot of vegan and plant proteins out there, this is by far the best. Both the vanilla and chocolate taste amazing in smoothies or just with water and ice. No chalky texture at all. I have it every day." However, not every customer review was entirely glowing: "One scoop is a bit too selfish. It needs a couple for it to really make a difference in taste." Another shared: "I've had this for just over a week, and I've been sipping it straight after lunch when I need that sweet hit. I find that it fills me up and takes away the craving. Also, it's completely delicious." For ladies seeking to enhance their hectic, dynamic lifestyles, Selfish's collection of supplements crafted specifically for women might just be the ideal answer.

Matt Poole's new girlfriend hits back at troll who claimed she was 'trying so hard' to be the mother of Tammy Hembrow's daughter

Matt Poole's girlfriend Annelyse Oatway has hit back after an online critic accused her of 'trying too hard' to be a 'mother' to the former Ironman's young daughter Posy, who he shares with ex Tammy Hembrow. Poole, 34, welcomed the baby in June 2022, but later split with Hembrow that December. He started dating Annelyse in early 2023, and in May this year, the couple welcomed their first child. Taking to her Instagram stories on Thursday, Annelyse spoke frankly about her relationship with three-year-old Posy. She made her comments during a question and answer session, after one user asked, 'Why do you act so hard to be Posy's mum when Matt hasn't even proposed to you?' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Annelyse kept her cool during her lengthy reply though she was clearly irritated by the intrusive question. 'This one has come up quite a lot in the last few months so I think I should address it,' she began. 'First of all I want to start off by saying what does a ring have to do with anything? 'Things happened quite fast with Matt and I as it was, so we are just taking our time with what we need to.' And then in a surprise twist, Annelyse revealed a heartbreaking secret about her own family life. 'As to 'acting' like Posy's mum,' she said. 'I grew up in a broken family with a step mum who I did not get along with. That really affected me growing up. I never ever wanted Posy to feel the way I felt growing up.' She then stated firmly that she had never 'ever, ever, ever' tried to be Posy's mother. 'I always make it clear to her that I am her bestie,' she said. Annelyse also shared intimate domestic details. 'I include her mum in things. She [Posy] has always got her momma. That's not my role. Still, she added: 'I have helped raise her since she was one and a half. I have taken her to appointments, to swimming, to dancing and toilet trained her. 'And she's family to me.' It comes after Matt Poole appeared to take a thinly veiled swipe at his ex, Tammy last month. The swimming coach, who split from the fitness influencer at the end of 2023, shed light on the difficulties of co-parenting after receiving 'fifty missed calls and messages' from Tammy. He said it was 'never easy' raising children separately, especially when it comes to travel arrangements. Tammy, 31, fled the country in the wake of her split from husband Matt Zukowski, 29. At the time, she shared to Instagram she was heading to Queenstown with her kids. Matt and Annelyse's romance, meanwhile first sparked in early 2023, following his split from Tammy in December 2022. Their relationship blossomed and, after two years of dating, they have now grown their family. Annelyse, who keeps a relatively low profile online despite her 10,000 Instagram followers, is originally from the Gold Coast, Queensland.

Tammy Hembrow's friend leaves a very passive aggressive comment on her Instagram post after she commits HUGE friendship no-no

Tammy Hembrow has committed a cardinal Instagram sin. The fitness influencer, 31, posted an unflattering photo of a close friend to her 17 million followers on Wednesday. Tammy left little to the imagination as she attended the Australian Financial Review magazine's 30th anniversary celebrations in a very revealing outfit on Tuesday night. She attended the business event at the Sydney Opera House in a tiny silk crop top and matching skirt set by Arcina Ori, which she documented in a carousel of photos shared to Instagram. But not everyone was happy with the post. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Tammy's post included four glamorous shots of the influencer posing in front of the Sydney Opera House in her ab-baring ensemble. She also shared a short video taken from behind, as she walked slowly towards a set of stairs and turned for dramatic effect - drawing attention to her silk-clad assets. There were two photos of Tammy's place setting in the darkened Bennelong restaurant, and also a selfie taken with Sydney brand strategist Addison Gazal at the table. 'Yeah cheers, I look great, thanks,' Addison penned in a comment dripping with sarcasm. Meanwhile, fans flocked to the comments section to lavish Tammy with praise. 'Ab goals,' one wrote, while other comments included 'Wow' and 'Obsessed.' The $230 top she wore features a subtle V-line detail while revealing a generous amount of her taut midriff, and the $360 long skirt has a twist detail and ruched waistband. Tammy styled her long blonde locks in waves as she posed for a mirror selfie at her hotel before heading to the event. He was less than impressed with the picture she chose to share Tammy has been fighting fit following her brutal split from husband Matt Zukowski after just seven months of marriage. The influencer, who announced in June that she and Matt were getting a divorce, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a list of things that are 'helping me heal.' 'Healing is hard but here are some little things helping me lately,' she began in an essay-length caption to a video montage of her 'healing' journey post-breakup. The video shows Tammy cuddling her three children, taking in sunrises and sunsets, and in multiple clips, sobbing uncontrollably. 'Getting out of the house has been huge for me,' she said. 'When I'm going through something, I can self-isolate but getting out of the house has been helping me get out of my head. Even something as simple as going to a café. I feel like being around people has just helped so much, even if it's strangers.' 'Moving my body - doesn't need much of an explanation. Instant boost of endorphins. Also doing something that's "selfish" and just for you. It can be so hard to even get yourself up and moving but you will feel better for it,' she continued. Tammy also listed 'spending time with my kids/family,' 'music,' 'watching the sunrise/sunset,' and going to therapy. 'I've always hated therapy,' she shared. 'I find it uncomfortable and confronting and never wanted to do it. But I promise you it's worth it.' The social media star said she's working on 'letting myself feel without judgement.' 'If I'm feeling sad or angry or upset, I acknowledge and feel it. If I want to cry, I cry. 'The only way past it is through it and some days you're going to feel better than others. For a while I was trying to shove down all my emotions and be "strong" and I honestly feel like this was one of the biggest things stopping me from even starting to heal,' she concluded. It comes after Tammy recently revealed she 'didn't recognise herself' during her marriage to Love Island star Matt, 29. The influencer revealed that she has toned up her body and lost weight since leaving the marriage. Tammy and Matt tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at Chateau Du Soleil in Byron Bay on November 23.

Tammy Hembrow asks fans if she has 'eyebrow blindness' as she debuts new look - amid viral trend that has women questioning their grooming choices

Tammy Hembrow has updated her eyebrows - and she's worried she's made a grave mistake. The 31-year-old influencer debuted her waxed brows in an Instagram Stories post on Tuesday, having trimmed them down from a bushier look. However, Tammy is unsure if the new look suits her, and has begged her fans for help. 'What do we think? Do I have eyebrow blindness?' she asked in the caption of her post. The accompanying clip showed Tammy working her angles in a mirror as she filmed herself with her phone. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. As she posed in side-profile and front-on, the designer seemed concerned by what she saw. Tammy had also posed the question to her fans the day before, also on Instagram Stories, and has evidently remained worried by her updated brows. The fitness influencer is taking part in a viral trend online where content creators question if they have 'eyebrow blindness'. The term rose to popularity on TikTok in recent months. Over the past decades, there have been tons of eyebrow trends that have taken the beauty world by storm. From skinny 'sperm' brows in the early 2000s, to the 2016 'block brows' inspired by Kylie Jenner, to the spiky soap brows of today - we've seen it all. Not to mention all of the viral products that were piled on, too, like the Anastasia Brow Dip and Wunderbrow gel. But when you look back on your previous eyebrow styles from years past, you may be thinking, 'What the heck was I doing?' 'What do we think? Do I have eyebrow blindness?' she asked in the caption of her post That is where eyebrow blindness comes in. Medical aesthetician Cassandra Bankson explained the term to USA Today, defining it as 'being blind to something that is trendy [but] not necessarily good for long term health or beauty.' Comedian Taylor Tomlinson also spoke about the phenomenon during a recent episode of her show, After Midnight, on CBS. She joked that it was an 'all-too common medical issue' where you're unable to tell that your eyebrows 'look insane.' The viral term has taken over the app, with tons of users posting some truly hilarious and shocking videos of what their eyebrows used to look like. And, it seems like there were various degrees of 'brow blindness' that people had, too, from super thin to super thick to barely there at all.
