They're actually the first drops I've ever tried (usually I just apply a normal body self-tanner to the face). 'Because you add drops to a moisturiser every other day or so (I decided to try every day) you get no tan lines on your hairline or under your eyes. 'This makes the tan build and blend effortlessly without being patchy. What results is a beautiful bronze glow that looks great (NO orange) even on my super pale skin. 'The smell of the drops is incredible too. They have a coconut/tropical scent that is lovely and summery. Would absolutely recommend!' Someone else added: 'I recently tried the self tan face drops from Lancaster and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. 'The product is easy to use and delivers a natural-looking tan without any streaks or blotches. 'The drops are lightweight and blend seamlessly into my skincare routine, giving me a healthy, sun-kissed glow. ' It wasn't for everyone, as one person said: 'I didn't notice much of a difference from using this product, perhaps just a slight glow which is ok if that's what you're after from facial tanning drops.' Yet lots of people were massively impressed. Another happy Boots customer wrote: 'As someone who has tried virtually every facial tan on the market I was really impressed with the natural shade of these tanning drops. 'No fake orange cast, just a lovely natural sun kissed glow that is achieved with minimal effort. Better still doesn't break me out or break up my makeup, just disappears into the skin.' Boots' 'excellent' £10 after sun 'prolongs tan' and 'gives skin golden glow'
Boots has discounted the 'moisturising' lotion that 'prolongs your tan' from £27 to £10 Boots is selling an after-sun lotion that "prolongs your tan up to one month and instantly calms sun-exposed skin" for £10. The Lancaster Tan Maximiser After Sun Body Lotion 125ml, usually priced at £27, is on offer for one day, while stock lasts. It's part of the retailer's weekly £10 deals, which see hundreds of products discounted for a limited time. The Lancaster Tan Maximiser After Sun Body Lotion 125ml could be ideal for shoppers looking for a "refreshing after-sun lotion." The product description says: " Our Golden Tan Maximizer After Sun Lotion prolongs your tan up to one month and instantly calms sun-exposed skin. Made with natural-origin Buriti oil, Lancaster's Tan Activator Complex intensifies melanin production for a golden, even and long-lasting tan. "This refreshing after-sun lotion contains a repairing complex that instantly soothes your skin. It reduces the risk of peeling and leaves skin supple and hydrated." However, it's not the only choice for shoppers looking for after-sun skincare. For instance, Selfridges offers Dior Solar The After-Sun balm 150ml for £40, Spake NK offers Institut Esthederm Shimmering After Sun Body Lotion for £52, Boots offers Piz Buin Aftersun Tan Intensifier 200ml for £7.99, and Look Fantastic offers Ambre Solaire After Sun Tan Maintainer with Self Tan 200ml on offer for £6. On Boots' website, reviewers gave the Lancaster Tan Maximiser After Sun Body Lotion an average rating of 4.7 out of five. One happy buyer said: "Lovely creamy moisturiser helps to retain your summer colour." Another pleased shopper shared: "Gives my skin a golden glow and not sparkly this is my go to after sun exposure excellent product." A third fan commented: "Silky soft skin and hydration is so good, excellent product." Someone else claimed: "Best after sun ever. We have used this product for years. It smells amazing, non greasy and keeps your tan for longer." However, not everyone was so impressed. A different reviewer said: "This is a nice rich moisturiser for the skin. I have to say it doesn't stand out from other after sun lotions and I'm not entirely sure if it's worth the price. The scent is just ok and I feel there are longer lasting, richer creams out there." Meanwhile, a shopper thought: "A nice product that applies well, but the smell is SO strong. Far too strong - and smells very powdery like and old lady's perfume. Not at all my taste." Someone else added: "It was a nice moisturizing cream but expected so much more for the price no noticeable tan prolonging. Gutted as I'd saved for it being a special treat for me and was left wanting." A similar comment read: "Brilliant for a moisturiser, not so great for its purpose." Exposure to UV rays can be harmful to your skin and health. The NHS recommends use of SPF sun cream for anyone exposed to sun or UV rays. Find out more here. The NHS says: "Sunburn increases your risk of skin cancer. Sunburn does not just happen on holiday. You can burn in the UK, even when it's cloudy. There's no safe or healthy way to get a tan. A tan does not protect your skin from the sun's harmful effects."
